Fun magic academy progression
Revisado: 10-15-24
Nothing special but good if you like magical academy progression fantasy genre. Pacing is a bit off and MC seems to progress fast without any particular reason.

Historia
A killer walks among the rich and powerful. Who can the Magebreakers trust? Someone is killing the non-magical members of Senate houses - those who might one day be named Protector of the Realm. And that same someone is leaving behind messages for the Magebreakers beside symbols of the shadowy organization known as the Knights of the Emperor. Under suspicion from the constabulary, Tane and Kadka are drawn into the investigation to prove their innocence. What they find is that Audish politics are as dangerous as any Porthaven back alley.

fun book pulp in all the right ways
Revisado: 07-23-21
Travis baldree makes this likely better then it should be but I really enjoyed both the first one and this one. like the Dresden files but way more fun albeit not as well written.

Historia
Drew Michalik was working in a top-secret facility in Washington, DC, when the Advent began. As all electronics in the world simply ceased to work, blue screens filled with information appeared before him. Drew was given access to a mana interface and a limited number of reality-altering crystals called Xatherite. Following the instructions on his vision-impairing screens, he "slotted" his Xatherite and changed his fate: He gained the ability to cast spells. Now alone in the dark, he must battle through the government bunker turned dungeon in a desperate bid for survival.

Scope is too big for the story
Revisado: 06-07-21
I kept feeling like I might have left the audio book on and missed something. I did start to enjoy it close to the end so I'll live the sequel a shot. above average litrpg.

Historia
Meet Threadbare. He is 12 inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her. Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies …

very clever fun read
Revisado: 10-05-20
great performance. very clever litrpg. perfect for someone who has not experienced the genre before. a refreshing change from the typical VR world LITRPG. if you like this book I would recommend the Cradle series by will wright or sufficiently advanced magic by Andrew Rowe
