A must read for any Mark Twain fan.

Samuel Clemons' rambling autobiography is, and was meant to be, a study for the making of an interesting autobiography. The performance is great and we learn much about the great author's life, personality, happinesses and tragedies. he often talks of other people he knew more than himself, but we learn much of the man through his interactions. I will eagerly move on to the second volume when possible.

A must for HST fans. Great audiobook reading.

HST does some of his best writing in letters. the letters covered in this book in particular are great because they cover the years he wrote Fear and Loathing and those first Gonzo articles for Scanlin's.

I love the performance as well. this is my second listen and the narrator is top notch.

Scott Sowers is the voice of Hunter S Thompson as far as I'm concerned. You would not want HST himself to have narrated any of his own books of you care about understanding what was written. Scott covers the energy and gruff humor of HST perfectly while simultaneously being coherent. I've listened to every HST book on audible and Scott S. is my favorite narrator. I relisten to books just to hear his narration. Stop it with the complaints.

I'm not sure why there is a price on this useless book. it is just a lady reading the index. I wished to listen to actual equations read out. this should have been free

The second LitRPG style serious that I have listened to. the other one is the land and this one compares favorably to it. I believe I like the main character better in the land however this one is very fun and I enjoy the main characters power though I imagine the slavery aspect of the story May trigger some sjw readers.

I'm really enjoying this series. I get a lot of the same satisfaction as playing a pen and paper rpg or a video game like skyrim. I will definitely finish the series and hunger for more.

I suppose Mr Maguire's purpose in writing this story was to show how open ended and unsatisfying life is. He succeeded entertainingly.

I have read the physical book a number of times but the audio book is even more enjoyable it is well read and I suggest that you read it and listen to it yourself thank you.
