The narration is the worst. :(

I was hesitant at first to even read/listen to this book bc of my already known opinion and feelings towards Nesta but I was like I’m-going to give it a go regardless since I loved all the others. I have read the reviews about the narration and was also hesitant about that but I decided to bite the bullet and listen anyways.
This narration is horrendous. Who ever approved this should get demoted or something (sorry for the extremeness). The narration is so one dimensional and flat. Everyone sounds the same AND all characters sound completely out of character themselves. Very exaggerated and un acotar-esque. Could not follow along with any transitions in scenes or who was speaking. Very disappointed and could not finish after 3 hours. While I do get upset when there is new narrator when the prior narrators are good, i try to keep an open mind when someone new brings their own perspective but this is a NO for me. Decided to read the book instead and have loved it!!! Definitely opt for the book if you can.

Fun listen!

I really enjoyed this book! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it but I liked that it wasn’t super predictable and kept me intrigued. I also liked the readers and thought they did a great job with the story and characters. Not my favorite book of all time but a fun listen nonetheless! I’d recommend! And just might continue along with the rest of the books. This can definitely be left as a standalone novel.
