Historia
Jonathan Haidt skillfully combines two genres-philosophical wisdom and scientific research-delighting the listener with surprising insights. He explains, for example, why we have such difficulty controlling ourselves and sticking to our plans; why no achievement brings lasting happiness, yet a few changes in your life can have profound effects, and why even confirmed atheists experience spiritual elevation.

Historia
Extreme success, by definition, lies beyond the realm of normal action. If you want to achieve extreme success, you can’t operate like everybody else and settle for mediocrity. You need to remove luck and chance from your business equation, and lock in massive success. The 10X Rule shows you how!

So stereotypical. Work harder than everyone else.
Revisado: 05-22-19
This kind of advice has burned out and ruined more lives than it has saved. Work harder, why are you watching a game on a Sunday when you can be working. Americans really need the direct opposite msg to this that there is more to life than work.
The writer doesn't mention happiness once. All money and success. Luckily I could get a refund when I finished as this was truly one dimensional and awful

Historia
With the failure of Hadley's Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating setback - the loss of the Aliens they aggressively sought to exploit. Yet there's a reason the Company has risen to the top of the food chain. True to form, they have a redundancy already in place: the facility known as "The Cold Forge". Remote station RB-232 has become their greatest asset in weaponizing the Xenomorphs. However, when Dorian Sudler is sent to RB-232 to assess their progress, he discovers that there's a spy aboard - someone who doesn't necessarily act in the company's best interests.

Historia
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

With no mention of God on the cover I will be refunding this. It's so old fashioned and unless you worship daily this book isn't for you. Was desperately waiting for it to end.

Historia
Many of us know we're putting too much pressure on our kids - and on ourselves - but how do we get off this crazy train? We want our children to succeed, to be their best, and to do their best, but what if they are not on board? A few years ago, Ned Johnson and Bill Stixrud started noticing the same problem from different angles: even high-performing kids were coming to them acutely stressed and lacking any real motivation. Many complained that they had no real control over their lives.

Historia
In this grand poetic vision of the universe, Lawrence Krauss tells the dramatic story of the discovery of the hidden world that underlies reality - and our place within it. Reality is not what you think or sense - it’s weird, wild, and counterintuitive, and its inner workings seem at least as implausible as the idea that something can come from nothing. With his trademark wit and accessible style, Krauss leads us to realms so small that they are invisible to microscopes, to the birth and rebirth of light, and into the natural forces that govern our existence.

totally inaccessible. Like a text book
Revisado: 01-08-19
I have read and listened to a lot of science, cosmos books and I have to say this was the first that totally broke me. I am MBA educated and this was over my head. It felt like a harvard textbook and had little or no story. Cosmos by Carl Sagan was much more accessible. If you want a textbook (plus you really need to see the diagrams with this book) then this is for you.

So disappointed by this self serving book
Revisado: 09-06-18
So i dont think I have ever given 1 star beforebut this book was so self serving i just couldnt wait for it to end. If you dont like hearing the word GOD probably over 100 times in 5h then this isnt for you. It started well but i learnt nothing from it. IMO its created for the people of Waco (who are amazing), his staff (who are amazing), his family (who are amazing). Apart from his trip to mexico there is so little depth or insight into the challeneges faced. He has 4 kids and never once do i remeber him talking about how difficuylt it is to raise kids and run businesses. Did he feel guilty about working so much? etc etc its all just glossed over and all is amazing in his world... thanks to GOD. As a man who set up so many different things he could of given more to a casual reader than what he did.
