Historia
When puberty brings on her first shift, Missy goes into the mountains for two years - until finally learning to change back. She can change from fully human in one instant to a mountain lion in the next. Everyone assumes her two-year disappearance was because she'd been kidnapped by a sexual predator that she managed to kill. She keeps her werecat nature a secret. There is no pack, no pride of other werecats, and no alpha.

The story was good. It was just kind of long-winded and could have used some trimming down. Solid plotline and storyline though. While the storyline is solid like I said earlier it definitely needs some trimming down. There was a lot in the story that I thought could have been a good side story and other stuff that just needed cut out, but other than that a good story. Now onto the narrator, she didn't have a good variation of voices for the characters. I will say that she was steady in her reading of the story and there were no awkward gaps that you get with most narrators. Also, a plus is that there were no eating or drinking sounds and it was edited well. Overall, not a bad listen. Looking forward to the next story. Here's to hoping there is more voice variation in the next book.

Historia
Josie Jackson is whisked further into the past, to the era of Vikings and the (almost) eternal winters of Norway. Carter, the mastermind behind her foray through time, reveals that she'll be remaining there for six years - assuming she survives the first winter. To complicate matters, Josie has an unexpected health condition, one that threatens her life more than the frigid cold, Viking raids, and wild animals.

I have read and listened to all of the other books in this series and have loved them all. I know I read this book before I listened to it but the narrator really brought the story to life. I felt like was right there with them watching them go about their lives. The twists and turns of the story really keep you on your toes wondering what is going to come next and with the narrator there's even more suspense. You're on the edge of your seat saying what's next. I can't wait to see what happens next.
