Historia
In The Weapon of Prayer, E.M. Bounds explains why prayer is the most powerful way to connect with God and why it should take priority above all other things in a believer's life. Through prayer we can find strength, comfort, and wisdom from him. Bounds words are still as meaningful today as they were in the 19th and early 20th century, reminding listeners that prayer does make a difference in their relationship with God.

Great book, lots of potential. I appreciate the “Christian Sci-fi” approach which basically means the book is a normal representation of life, I mean come on - to be a Christian is the normal standard of life, people want to push weirdo agendas and make it seem like everyone is steeped in alcohol, drugs and all kinds of sexual things and that this is somehow what normal is or should be. They are weak counterfeits to living real life. Btw there were not many overt Christian references in the book, I think the author didn’t want to be preachy, and that the Christian element may speak more to what is not in the book, which readers like me appreciate and that everyone can appreciate if they get off their agendas.
Anyway, aside from some clunky writing which seems typical for first time authors (and, ahem, self-publishers), I really enjoyed the full voice cast, sound effects, and music and the good effect they have had on the story, and that this is an unabridged recording - I find this combination of full voice on unabridged to be rare.
I read a couple of reviews complaining about the music being too loud relative to the voice acting but I did not experience this at all. Is it possible the voice audio was better adjusted since those reviews? Not sure, but it worked for me and felt like a movie at some key junctures - those alone make the book worth it imo.
The buildup of all the characters throughout the story begins to pay off toward the end. I was surprised by the direction and look forward to the future. Especially the Arbiter-like muscle alien? Not much was said about that one but who knows? Looking forward to reading book 2 hardcover, I hope the author finishes the series soon (currently wrapping up book 6 with three more to go is what I’ve heard) and that he will provide the same audiobook treatment to each book.
Thanks Lee! Exciting things to come I’m sure.

Historia
Whether you know it or not, you have the authority to change the world through prayer. When God said, “Let mankind rule over all the earth,” He was arranging the dominion of the world so that the partnership of mankind was essential for the accomplishment of His purposes. Through his unique perspective on this often-misunderstood subject, best-selling author Dr. Myles Munroe takes the mystery out of prayer, providing practical answers for difficult questions about communicating with God.

So thankful for this message!
Revisado: 04-14-21
My grandma handed me a copy of this book a few years ago and my infant daughter pulled it off the bookshelf. I tried to read the hard copy but then found it here on Audible. Such a good book, I think that prayer (and fasting) is where it’s at. I figure we might as well go for the big stuff during our short stay on this planet. I’m very thankful for this author’s faithfulness to articulate and share this teaching.

Anyone can see it: We're captivated by the idea of eternity. No generation or culture can resist its draw. And some part of you already knows this, doesn't it? It's the reason you're thinking about buying this book. God created us with eternity in our hearts because this life is merely a glimpse of what's to come. But what do we know about eternity? Is there more to it than pitchforks and harps? And if so, is any of it relevant to the life we're living now?

Good story! Great people!
Revisado: 10-16-20
I’m new to the series but I believe in Karen’s abilities. If you haven’t read her clone commando Star Wars books, the first one is great! I’m new to the Galaxy’s Edge series, so I couldn’t say how this relates to the wider series, but I think it is a great book exploring Earth and what it could be like to look to the stars and hope.
