You won’t want to put this book down
Revisado: 03-08-25
Enjoyed this book!!! This book was well written. You capture the development of all the characters and left no gaps. It would have been nice to have a male voice read for all the male characters, but it still was a good journey! Looking forward to the next book of the series!

Enjoyed the journey but hit a speed bump with the ending
Revisado: 11-09-24
I really have enjoyed how the people in the small town of Henry Adams have developed! Really good writing, character plots and the satisfaction of the bad guy (Bernadine’s Ex, Leo) being stopped from the bad he was plotting against Bernadine and the town. I’m also glad to see how the couples and families work and grow into the men and women they’ve become. It was unexpected that Bernadine asked Mal to marry her after such a short season of being apart, her giving him the cold shoulder, then going kite flying, a few dinners, a snow storm - still they were taking things slow, then boom SHE asks him to marry her? I think I would have given them more time to redevelop their relationship AFTER he had a few more sessions with Paula. I would have loved to have seen Mal do the proposal instead of Bernadine… again just my opinion. I am definitely not a writer by any stretch. By this being a book of made up characters and not true to life, hey I’m 10 books in and going with the journey!! I do love the writer who makes me cheer for the good guys, throw tomatoes at the bad guys, cry for the broken hearted and dream of the possibilities of a town like this in our culture today. Thanks for the journey! Of course, I’m getting ready to dive into book 11!

Enjoyed the journey!
Revisado: 09-17-24
This was an enjoyable book!! The characters were relatable and had a really good story line.
One thing I would like to bring to the writers attention is the use of the word “thanks”. Due to the level of respect and formality in our culture, I don’t see (even the younger people) using the word “thanks”. In my opinion, it seemed out of place for this era of time.

I really enjoyed this story!! It kept me engaged from the moment Viva touched down in Louisiana to the moment she received the package at the end!! Also, thank you for giving us readers a better understanding about Voodoo. I don’t know anything about this religion and it was good to learn through this story!
Thank you for being such an excellent writer, Ashli St. Armant!!!!! The narrator is PERFECT also!!!!
Looking forward to the next book in the series!!!
