“20 hours, really? How can it possibly be so long”

Was my initial thought. I honestly only started it so that I could have something to listen to as background noise. I didn’t want to get too invested into a book at that time, because I was mentally detoxing from a particular series and genre. I needed something light and simple. I never expected to find this book interesting. Somehow it happened, though. I will say it’s 20 hours with NO filler. There are a lot of details and character development. You cannot miss a chapter and pick it back up and expect to know what’s going on, unlike some books I’ve listened to, every sentence counts. So the book doesn’t even feel like it’s 20 hours long, because you’re constantly being fed new information.

Overall, it’s a cute story. I did laugh a few times. I never cried, but I could see why some people would be emotional. Without giving spoilers, there is a happy ending.

I’m not good at writing reviews, but if you were like me and thinking how crazy it is that it was 20 hours long, don’t me. Cuz it doesn’t feel like it. The story feels perfectly paced.

I became so addicted. I played when I woke up, throughout my day, and before bed. I feel like this is going to get me too attached to characters and then break my heart. But It’s too good to stop. Now on to the next part!

I was trying to grasp the concept of this show for around 3-4 episodes. I was trying to decide whether or not I should stick with it. I’m so glad I did! I love listening to it. I love the characters and the storyline, and the humor. It’s unique!

I never listened to a book like this before. I really liked it. The cast performances were great. It almost felt like I was listening to a tv show. I liked following along with the characters and storyline. What’s next?

Everything I love in a book.
It’s very unique. Funny/good narrative/interesting characters and concept.

The cliff hanger had me upset but also happy because there should be a part 2.

It’s okay

I’m not sure where to begin, honestly. I enjoyed the first book quite a lot. I even liked Another Day, but for some reason this book didn’t feel “right” to me. I finished the book despite that. At the end, I was left feeling “that was it? That’s how it ends? This is the closure?”
Without giving away any spoilers, this book does dive a little more into the lives of people like “A”
But not enough to really care about. You get glimpses of random peoples lives inserted randomly into the narrative, and then it’s over. I found it to be a bit distracting sometimes. There’s like a 5 minute prayer from some random lady, and by the time it was over, I was just *over* it. I’m sure this was to show you certain aspects of the lives of people like A. Like what happens when _____ or they can actually ____ (not spoiling) but you’ll see. But I sometimes got the feeling that “A’s” story wasn’t focused on enough because of all these random clips. To me it felt like it was a Nathan story and Rhiannon story, sprinkled with

Overall, I guess it’s closure enough to the series. I was left feeling this was a final book. I still have questions... but enough answers were provided to wrap it up.

Enjoyed the first book

This book was much harder for me to get through. I’m not sure why. I feel like every page was a fight scene. It was just one fight after another. I feel like the story got lost within them. I will probably continue to read the series, because I like to see things through until the end. But this book really dragged for me.
The narrator was excellent.
