Perfect Duo: Andrew Grey and Greg Tremblay
Revisado: 07-30-19
I love this series so I wasn't surprised that I liked this one as well. Andrew Grey has a unique way of taking a sensitive subject and painting the picture so that it's bearable and not so dark.
Chris is newly promoted to the sheriff's office and his first real assignment is a favor to the Carlisle PD. Keep their human trafficking victim, Pavle safe until he can help the DEA, FBI and every other three letter agency identify his keepers. Chris will need to find a way to keep Pavle save without making it seem that he's just exchanged one prison for another and without any of those pesky feelings getting in the way for the strong, enigmatic man.
The story was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were well developed as was the storyline. I love that we get to catch up with old characters like Red and Terry. The audio performance was perfect, as is to be expected from Greg Tremblay. He didn't get to be one of my go-to narrators for no reason. This was the perfect was to spend 6 hours.

This Really Is Something Special
Revisado: 05-20-19
I love this series, it's at the top of re-read list. So, imagine my excitement when Mrs. Via said she was working to put it out in audio format. I may have fangirled a little.
God and Day and two of the most entertaining and lovable characters I have ever read. They are funny, caring, compassionate and tough as nails. Not only do we get to see God and Day transition from partners are work to partners at home, we also get to ride along with some of their hilarious antics on the job. This story has it all; jokes, gun fights, closeted co-workers, and just enough of a sad backstory to balance out the story.
If ever there was a man that was made to be the voice of Detective Cashel Godfrey it was Aiden Snow. His voice is the perfect mix of deep rumbles and smooth honey. He was able to bring to life a story that I have read too many times to count and make me fall in love with it all over again. It was almost like reading it for the first time. I can't wait to see what magic he brings to Embracing His Syn.

A new life in New Orleans is all Jason Thorpe had hoped: His quaint little store attracts a devoted staff, and his warm, loving heart grants him a loyal circle of friends. He's perfectly content, having left behind the chill of a confusing and danger-filled night in Washington, until he discovers something unbelievable lurking in the steamy darkness of the shadowy streets of the Vieux Carré, something that turns out to be terrifying and utterly mesmerizing.

Entertaining and Intriguing
Revisado: 05-20-19
I am a huge fan of Mary Calmes, I will read or listen to just about anything she writes. When I saw His Consort I was a little skeptical, I have a hard time finding vampire stories that keep my interest. I feel like most of them are too cliche, almost campy.
This one grabbed my interest from the first word. The story itself was entertaining with just the right amount of intrigue to keep my interest peaked. Mary's vampyrs introduce you to a whole new vocabulary which at first I thought was going to be difficult to remember because, hey I'm listening and my memory is crap, but I didn't have a problem.
I haven't had the pleasure of listening to anything else narrated by Scott Smith, but holy cow that voice. He gives life to Varic Maedoc like I don't think anyone else could. His voice is cultures and smooth as honey. His voice has a rich cadence that draws you in.
I can't say enough good things about both the story writing and the narration, both are amazing. I've already read almost everything by Mary Calmes, I will definitely be looking up more work by Scott Smith.

Perfect Author/Narrator Combo.
Revisado: 03-12-18
After suffering an attack at 16, Matt suffers from extreme OCD and PTSD. He has locked himself away from the world in a cabin miles from town. He has turned his land into a self-sustaining oasis. He grows his own food, he fishes and hunts on his last and has almost no contact with the outside world. Then one day his world is turned upside down when someone starts jogging past his house everyday. The first sighting sent Matt into a panic attack to rival all panic attacks. Matt tried calling the sheriff to see if he could stop him, but the runner isn't breaking any laws. Slowly, Matt comes to expect the runner at the same time everyday. One day when he doesn't show up Matt's world tips again. Can he leave his carefully constructed world to find out what happened to his runner?
My heart broke for Matt so many times throughout this story. His reaction to the attack was extreme, but how could it not be? He was 16, with very little if any coping skills. His mom did him a great disservice, she wan't strong enough to get him the help he needed and so he retreated into himself where he knew he was safe and then eventually to his compound.
The runner, Charlie was an intriguing character. I love that he pushed Matt's boundaries without being pushy or mean. He knew when to push and when to back off. He was so caring and understanding.
I loved the amount of detail in Matt's compound. When Parker Williams described it I could actually visualize it and Patrick Zeller brought it to life with his perfect narration. From the greenhouse to the lake and all the gardens.
The thing that made me love this story was that Matt fell in love with Charlie and that made him want to get help to fix his issues, but Charlie made his see that he loved him issues and all and if he was getting help it was for himself. That he was loved either way, warts and all.
The story line was not at all predictable, as soon as I thought I knew what was going to happen something else would. I love that. The characters and the setting were well developed and rich with detail.
I fell in love with this story when I first read the book. I didn’t think I could love it any more than I already did, but Patrick Zeller has a great talent for narration. He took the story to the next level.

Historia
Taylor Langford’s world is torn apart when he is only 13 years old - his parents killed, leaving him alone and orphaned. With no living relatives, he’d certainly be another statistic if not for the intervention of the policeman who found Taylor in the crawl space where his mother hid him that fateful night. Frank Moore is a rookie with the Dallas Police Department when he and his partner answer the call in Devonshire. Over the years, Frank becomes a permanent fixture in Taylor’s life.

Amazing story! The narration is perfection!
Revisado: 03-02-18
I love a good mystery, add in a longtime crush and some hero worship and you have perfection.
Taylor's whole world comes to a screeching halt when his parents are murdered. Frank, a police officer on the scene finds Taylor hiding in an attic crawl space. Over the years Frank remains close with Taylor and his foster parents, often vacationing together each summer.
When Taylor graduates from college he decides that he's done watching life from the sidelines. This summer on vacation with Frank, he's going to tell him how he feels. Before Frank and Taylor can really begin to explore their relationship the past comes back to finish what was started ten years ago.
The storyline had a slow build up which I adored. The detail that went into showing how Taylor and Frank's relationship evolved over ten years was nothing short of amazing. The mystery part of the story was well thought out and executed. There were a ton of characters to keep track of on top of all the plot points to tie the mystery together. The author managed to do it without confusion and keeping me on the edge of my seat.
As if the story itself wasn’t good enough, the audio performance really brought it to life. I read the book first and while that was amazing at bringing the budding relationship to life the audio truly enhanced it. The audio performance really made me feel how conflicted and utterly in love Frank was with Taylor. Nick J Russo couldn’t have been any more perfect to narrate this story.
As much as I loved the book the audiobook made me fall even harder.

Garrett was at his breaking point. There were only so many times in a week you should have to see someone you were...attracted to...infatuated with...but certainly didn’t have a crush on. Doms didn’t have those. Especially on a customer who probably wasn’t even gay, much less a sub. Business 101 - do not flirt with a client. Wyatt was losing his mind. Hiding his obsession was getting harder and harder. All he wanted to do was kneel in front of Garrett and call him Master. But the sexy insurance agent never seemed to see him.

Revisado: 02-15-18
It’s been a while since I read the Bound and Controlled series and these days I’m listening more than reading. When I saw this one I jumped at the chance to reconnect with old characters. I forgot how much I loved this one!
I love the characters how clueless Garrett is and how twitchy and spacey Wyatt is. The narrator definitely brought the characters to life for me. The narrator was so good I had to reread the whole series to reacquaint myself with the other stories.
I can’t wait for the rest of the series is audio.

I'll gladly give up forever to touch you.
Revisado: 01-02-18
Salvatore Rossi is on the fast track with his career. He has no time for friends, family or relationships. Then a chance meeting with a 7 year old boy in an alley in Miancarem sets his life on an entirely different course. His only salvation is choosing the long life of a vampire over the decidedly shorter life of a cancer riddled human.
Yoram Smith is a strong wolf, and he's know since he was seven years old that he has a true mate out there. He's even met the man, but as the years go on and Yoram grows into an alpha wolf he begins to wonder if his mate will ever come to him. 27 now, he hasn't seen his mate in a decade with no signs of the man. He feels like he's about to come apart at the seams now that he's the Alpha and he's being pulled in a million directions with no relief in sight.
Salvatore has made it a point to stay away. He doesn't do any kind of relationship and he doesn't understand the "true mate" thing everyone keeps telling him about. What he does know is that the pull to be near Yoram is getting harder to deny. When he can't take it anymore he makes the trip from Vegas to Miancarem. He doesn't expect to find his mate about to unravel at the seams. The stress of juggling pack needs with his own needs are wearing him down.
Sal and Yoram will need to work together to get the pack to embrace change and their relationship while learning to trust each other with their own needs.
This story is amazing. When Sal and Yoram were apart my heart was breaking for Yorry. You could feel his despair and hopelessness as if it were a tangible thing. It made me want to throttle Sal for being so damn stubborn. Once they got it together, hot dog the chemistry was off the charts. If this is where the Mates series ends, it was a great story to end with.
"I'll gladly give up forever to touch you."
How does your heart not melt?!?
I'm a big fan of Charlie David, I will listen to anything he narrates. He brought this story to life in such a great way. I was up until 3 am listening to this one, I just couldn't bear to hit pause.

i was left underwhelmed by this one.
Revisado: 09-21-17
This is the story of police chief Eli Gallagher and his deputy Stan Leach. As a violent crime rocks their little town their personal lives are unraveling.
This story was super short, too short to wrap up all the plot points that would make it a complete story. At the beginning of the story the author spent a lot of time developing the relationships of Gallagher and Leach with other men. This was more than half of the story, and at this point I assumed there wouldn't be a relationship between the main characters. Both of those relationships ended abruptly and we moved into the mystery part of the story.
The mystery ended up not being so mysterious because we knew who the culprit was from the get go, but because of the stress of it Eli and Stan hop in bed together. Next thing you know the book is ending and the epilogue has the couple making serious relationship steps without any relationship growth throughout the book.
For me, the plot was really choppy and didn't flow well. With some polishing and added detail it could make a good full length novel, but it definitely needs more detail about the budding relationship between the main characters.
I grew up in Mississippi and I was hoping the narrator would have an authentic Mississippi accent. I was hoping it would take me back in time and add another dimension to the story, but speaking slowly isn't a substitute for an accent.

The best MPREG book I've read so far!
Revisado: 06-17-17
This is a great Alpha/Omega book. The characters and the landscape are described in such detail that you can picture it unfolding right before your eyes.
Kit, a human slave has seen it written in the stars that his mate is a powerful Alpha, however unlikely that may be. Luca, the alpha in question is ready for his choosing ceremony so he can take a mate when he finds the young man who saved his life all those years ago.
Realizing that Kit is his mate and a human leaves Luca reeling. Luca must scramble to understand what is going on and keep Kit safe at all cost. Their world is in turmoil and it is up to the new Alpha King and his human Omega mate to make it a better place for all of them.
The story was amazing. The narration was stellar. Joel Leslie made me feel every emotion the characters were feeling. Every time Luca did something stupid I wanted to punch something. When Kit was devastated, I wanted to cry for him. I haven't come across too many audiobooks that have made me feel this much.
If you enjoy Alpha/Omega or MPREG stories you can't go wrong with this one.

I love a good enemies to lovers story!
Revisado: 04-20-17
Kyle has had to fight tooth and nail for everything he has in life. Nothing has come easy for him and because of that he carries a pretty big chip on his shoulder. He can't stand people born to money that don't have to earn it and meeting his buddies friend Brent proves his point.
Brent was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. He was born to money, raised to enjoy the finer things in life, and spends his days lazing about. At least these are the things Kyle thinks he knows about Brent, and takes an instant dislike to him.
When Kyle's hard work and dedication at work finally turn into a promotion that allows him to put a down payment on a condo he finally feels like he's made it. He's accomplished his goal, then in one second it's all taken away. When the chips are down Kyle has no one to turn to until Brent offers a helping hand.
Kyle borrows Brent's spare bedroom until he can find a new job and get back on his feet. Over the first few weeks he's there Kyle starts to realize that there is more to Brent than he first thought. He might not be the spoil rich kid he thought he was. When Kyle realizes what Brent is doing with his free time each day he finds out that old prejudices can blind you from seeing some great right in front of you.
I love a great enemies to lovers story, even if they were only enemies in Kyle's head. This is a great story about a man finding that through his narrow and intolerant views of people he could be missing out on something great. The characters were well developed and interesting. The story, as always was perfection.
The narrator was good. This was my first time listening to Kevin Chandler. He infused just enough snark in his voice to bring Kyle to life for me. It was great.
Overall an enjoyable listening experience.
