Cassie Greenberg loves being an artist, but it’s a tough way to make a living. On the brink of eviction, she’s desperate when she finds a too-good-to-be-true apartment in a beautiful Chicago neighborhood. This was not my type of book
Revisado: 11-11-24
I would have thought this story was for a younger audience, except some of the content was definitely not appropriate for a younger reader. I found the story to be a bit boring. The main character was predictable and annoying. The vampire was disappointing and boring. I'm more interested in learning more about his nemesis, Reggie. But not interested enough to sit through another audio book for this series.

Historia
It's raining in Liscor. The spring rains have come and Liscor's entire geography changes with the dawning of the new year. The Floodplains of Liscor live up to their name, and the only way anyone is going to travel is by boat. With the rains come more monsters, dungeon delving, more goblins...not to mention some unwanted attention for the Wandering Inn.

I love how we are getting to learn more about many of the supporting characters. Each book continues to have a well rounded cast and new details about the pasts of some of my favorite characters. Still wondering where in the world is Ryoka Griffin....

This one was darker for me
Revisado: 08-30-24
Another great book. I am hooked. Admittedly, this particular story was a bit slow for me. There was a lot of "war" talk, so probably not my favorite book. Nevertheless, valuable background and context was added in this story.
Where in the world is Ryoka Griffin?!

Historia
It’s still winter, but everyone’s on the move. Rags the goblin is heading north, seeking allies against the Goblin Lord. And Erin is going home...or trying to, at least. She’s determined to bring back cheer to The Wandering Inn - as well as Christmas! But the coldest time of the year leads to strange encounters with a number of people. At the same time, Ryoka Griffin is far from what she would consider to be “home”. Deep in the north, in the city of Invrisil, she finds herself as the guest of Magnolia Reinhart.

Another amazing book
Revisado: 08-02-24
This story is just as engaging as the prior books. I knocked off a star because this book had a couple of lulls that weren't very interesting to me. Overall, it adds additional context and provides a detailed look at the background for some major characters. Looking forward to the next book.
Narrator out did herself. She is amazing with the dozens and dozens of characters. I can typically identify which character is speaking simply from the narration. Amazingly impressive. Great singing voice also.

I was skeptical. The summary seemed interesting, and so I decided to give it a try. I was concerned it would lean YA. I am happy to report that this is not childish at all. I was interested and entertained throughout the entire book. I really liked the ended, it just worked for me. Great book amd narration.

MIL is cray
Revisado: 05-17-24
I enjoyed this story. It was interesting from start to finish. I kinda wanted the MIL to be more creepy. But she was definitely full on crazy. So I was not left disappointed.

Jess needs a fresh start. She’s broke and alone, and she’s just left her job under less than ideal circumstances. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked if she could crash with him for a bit, but he didn’t say no, and surely everything will look better from Paris. Only when she shows up – to find a very nice apartment, could Ben really have afforded this? – he’s not there.

lots of twists and turns
Revisado: 05-10-24
This book was good and the narrator did a good job. There were lots of plot twists and an ever evolving story line. It was a little slow for my personal tastes. But do not let that deter you from this story. It was a well written story.

Slow story!
Revisado: 05-08-24
This books seemed to drag on. There was little excitement throughout the story. One dominant theme was the love story, which got old fast. Slowest vampire book ever.

Historia
Allie Hilts was still in high school when a fire at a top-secret research facility released an air-borne pathogen that quickly spread to every male on the planet, killing most. Allie witnessed every man she ever knew be consumed by fearsome symptoms: scorching fevers and internal bleeding, madness and uncontrollable violence. The world crumbled around her. No man was spared, and the few survivors were irrevocably changed. They became disturbingly strong, aggressive, and ferocious. Feral.

The lead character was on my nerves
Revisado: 04-17-24
I don't mind a good lone wolf story. However, the main character was difficult for the sake of being difficult. I never warmed up to her or found her very sympathetic. I found my self rolling my eyes very often during this book. I don't think this will be on my "re-listen" list.

Historia
Ten years ago, the Harper family disappeared. Their deserted cottage was left with the water running, the television playing cartoons, the oven ready for baking. The doors were locked from the inside. Overnight, the sleepy village of Nighbrook became notorious as the scene of the unsolved mystery of the decade, an epicentre for ghoulish media speculation. For crime journalist Naomi, solving the case has turned into an obsession. So now, with Ivy Cottage finally listed for sale, it’s her chance to mount an investigation like no other.

Surprise ending
Revisado: 04-17-24
I enjoyed this story. The narration was great and there were enough twists and turns to keep me very engaged. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy a good "who done it" book. This story was a little slow at times, but it led to a great reveal at the ending.
