Historia
Everyone thinks my husband is dead. Just like we planned. Eleven years ago, my husband disappeared. Eleven long hard years I waited, my heart breaking for our son, who didn’t know his father was coming back. Today, my hands shake as I try to understand what I’ve just learned: my husband has a new wife. This wasn’t part of our plan. Eleven years ago, my husband made a terrible mistake. Historia
Beth Montgomery seems to have the perfect life: a beautiful house in the hills above Los Angeles, a handsome, ambitious husband, and plans of starting a family. So it doesn't occur to her to worry when the news breaks of a quadruple homicide across town, a botched drug deal that leaves an undercover officer among the dead. Beth certainly would never think to tie the murders to the sudden reappearance in her life of wild, sexy Cassie Ogilvy, the estranged best friend she hasn't seen since they were college roommates.

Absolutely horrid narration!
Revisado: 01-17-23
The story is very interesting however the narrator just SUCKS! all the characters except the oxygen dependant old lady sound exactly a like and I can't tell when one character stops talking and different one begins. I like Mary Louise Parker as an actor but as a narrator she leaves a lot to be desired.

Historia
As the dreary, bitter weather of late fall descends on Minneapolis, Detective Nikki Liska is restless. After moving to the cold case squad in order to spend more time with her sons, she misses the rush of pulling an all-nighter, the sense of urgency of hunting a murderer on the loose. Most of all she misses her old partner, Sam Kovac. Sam is having an even harder time adjusting to Nikki's absence, saddled with a green new partner younger than pieces of Sam's wardrobe.

Great Follow up story
Revisado: 04-14-21
I have been waiting for this book since I finished Pain colony. Just like with the first book there is some unusual science that is just enough inside the realm of possibility to be believable. Sister 'Layla" is aware something suspicious is going on in the colony but blindly trust James and that proves to be a very bad idea. Nick is by far my favorite character! He is unwilling to let the story behind the "virus" stay behind closed doors no matter the cost! I loved the back and forth between present day virus survivors and the beginning of the virus inside the colony. It gives you background while still continuing the story. This was a fantastic book and I look forward to the next one by Ms. Hunt. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Historia
Nothing ruins a peaceful morning walk like finding a blood-spattered body. And Daisy Greene and Rose Forrest, sisters and co-owners of Champagne Taste, really need a peaceful morning walk. If finding bodies lying around walking trails isn't enough to destroy a perfectly good day, Daisy's ex-husband, state trooper Bill Greene, shows up to investigate the murder. Nosy by nature anyway, Daisy takes Bill's presence as a challenge to find the murderer.

Cute story
Revisado: 02-21-21
This was a cute little mystery and a funs tory to listen to. I loved the characters especially Angela. The story wasn't too complex and I figured out "who did it" before the bug reveal but I was still a good listen. The narrator was just ok. Some of the characters sounded the exact same and i had to rewind to figure out who was talking. I wasn't a fan of how one second Rose or Daisy were talking normal and then they sounded like whiny children. Overall this was a good story. I received this book for free for an honest review.

horrible story and narration
Revisado: 10-11-20
This could have been a great story the overall idea is great! The narrator did an absolutely awful job! All the male characters sounded like rough cowboys and Sierra sounded like a helpless maiden! The heavy christian tones added nothing to the story like the author was likely going for. It didn't feel like a well thought out Christian mystery.

C-list actress Rosie Collins’ name is making headlines...unfortunately it’s only with the tabloids. Now, with a freshly minted reputation for being a troublemaker, not even the local Dollar General store will hire her to twirl their sign. Problem is the job offers stop, but the bills don’t. Rosie needs cash fast, like, express-lane fast. Might professional mourning be the answer? Sure, yeah, whatever.

Funny little mystery
Revisado: 03-17-20
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. It is a little outside of my normal likes but I thought I'd give it a try and boy am I glad I did! A down on her luck b list celebrity with a hashtag for drama turns to professional mourning to make ends meet. While "mourning" the loss of her dear friend she uncovers a mystery she didn't expect to find. With the help of her makeup artist friend Gabe and possible love interest Matteo she is able to uncover the truth and get justice. This was a funny story at times and overall very enjoyable. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a light hearted mystery.

Great surprise ending
Revisado: 03-17-20
This was a great listen!! A young lawyer is trying to make a name for herself by freeing a man wrongly imprisoned for the gruesome murder of a friend. Laura searched high and low to find evidence that Eddie was made the scapegoat for the murder of a young drug addict while serving life in one of the most notorious prisons. Laura finds herself in danger as she tries to uncover the police and prison corruption while hunting for key evidence that was never used in Eddies original trial. I thought I had this book figured out until the very end and the twist I did not see coming! This was an amazing book and I kept coming back to listen and the narrator did a great job make each character their own! I received this book for free for an honest review.
