It takes an absolutely amazing author, in my opinion, to keep a series like this growing, evolving, and increasingly engaging the reader. The narrator’s tone and pitch is perfect. I will listen to it again.

Mixed impressions

As in the past an excellent Cormoran strike and Rob in Ellicott story but I think it would have been better to have read it then to have listened to it. There which is far too many hashtags and @s as all of the digital online communications were read by the narrator.

John Sanford has done it again

I have to begin by saying I’m a huge fan of Lucas Davenport and Virgil flowers as brought to life by John Sanford. I’ve read all of the books in both series and now I am joyfully listening to all of the books in the series on audible. I
I was hoping that the first book, in what I wish will be a series, Featuring Lucas’s adopted daughter Lettie Davenport, would live up to the high standard of all the other books. And it did!!!
Richard Farone and his narration voice have become like good friends. KUDOS To him as well

Horribly poor sound quality

I am a great fan of this author and her books and looked forward to this one, even though several reviews mention the sound quality. I thought certainly if the book is good the sound quality doesn’t have to be perfect. But this was such a poor recording I’m surprised audible allowed it to be available on it’s app.

Peter Grainger’s kings lake books are hands-down some of the best written and best narrated detective/crime books ever!

Amazingly great series

It’s truly difficult to find words adequate to say how much I am enjoying the series. Some of the most true to life, evocative, humorous, engaging and suspenseful reading ever. The characters have become friends or enemies depending on what they deserve. I chuckle with them laugh with them and yes, cry with him.
When I finish the last in the series, I’ll just have to start back again. I do hope Peter Grainger reconnects with his fabulous character, DC Smith.
