Historia
Paul Copeland, a New Jersey county prosecutor, is still grieving the loss of his sister twenty years ago - the night she walked into the woods, never to be seen again. But now, a homicide victim is found with evidence linking him to the disappearance. The victim could be the boy who vanished along with Paul's sister. And, as hope rises that his sister could still be alive, dangerous secrets from his family's past threaten to tear apart everything Paul has been trying to hold together....

Outstanding Story. Plots within Plots!

Coben is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I found him by accident and have been happy that I did. Coben can weave a tale that keeps your attention from beginning to end. He leaves clues throughout the story and just when you think you have it figured out, it catches you by surprise! Bravo Mr Coben! Another winner.

Love the author, hate the reader
Revisado: 10-10-14
Would you try another book from Ed McBain and/or Dick Hill?
I have loved the 87th precinct novels since I stumbled upon the first one about three decades ago. I have read them all in print multiple times. I was disappointed when I joined audible that there wasn't any available and waited impatiently for them to be produced. Unfortunately, when they finally became available, it was with Dick Hill reading them. I do not like this reader he ruins the story for me. I will continue to purchase these books because I love McBain's works but I can only stand to listen to them one book at a time with long breaks in between. I wish they had used George Guidall or Richard Ferrone (he does wonderful with the John Sandford "Prey" books). With either of those readers I wouldn't have been able to stop listening to marathon 87th! Any chance for a redo with either of these readers?
What didn’t you like about Dick Hill’s performance?
I don't like the way he reads. His characterization sounds terrible and he overacts in his reading.
Any additional comments?
Please find another place for Mr Hill. He needs to stop reading books for you.

Narrator almost ruins the book.
Revisado: 06-12-14
Would you be willing to try another one of Dick Hill’s performances?
I do not like this performance. Please find someone else to read these books!
Any additional comments?
I have loved Ed McBain books since the first time I read one decades ago. I have read every book he has ever printed and have never been disappointed in the story. I do not like this narrator. I wish he would retire or find some other form of work. His performance makes the story difficult to listen to and if I hadn't already been a McBain fan I would not have ever read another book of his based on this performance. I will eventually purchase all of the McBain books to listed to because I love the author's work but I will have to have long breaks between listening to them with this narrator.

Historia
Seven years ago, Professor Gabriel Kennedy's investigation into paranormal activity at Summer Place ended in tragedy, and destroyed his career. Now, Kelly Delaphoy, the ambitious producer of a top-rated ghost-hunting television series, is determined to make Summer Place the centerpiece of an epic live broadcast on Halloween night. To ensure success, she needs help from the one man who has come face-to-face with the evil that dwells in Summer Place, a man still haunted by the ghosts of his own failure. Disgraced and alienated from the academic community, Kennedy wants nothing to do with it. But Summer Place has other plans....

Not the best book I've ever "read" but not bad.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Any additional comments?
I like the idea of a supernatural investigation "reality" show team running into the real thing. It's an entertaining idea. The story itself is not bad either. (I couldn't give it more than 3 stars because as a Stephen King fan I judge all supernatural books by comparing them to his, I know it's not fair, but that's life.) The way some of the characters acted were not believable, but it's a story, right? All in all, not a bad read. Performance was pretty good too. I'd listed to another book by this author and performer.

Historia
For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard. Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes.

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?
All of them. Mr. Guidall is the greatest performer available in audio books. I could listen to him reading the tax code!
Any additional comments?
It was a great loss to the literary world when Vince Flynn passed on. I am happy we have as much of his work to enjoy as we do. I have enjoyed each of his books, most of them more than once. This one was of the same quality. May you rest in peace, Mr. Flynn.

Stealth. Gorgon. Regenerator. Cerberus. Zzzap. The Mighty Dragon. They were heroes. Vigilantes. Crusaders for justice, using their superhuman abilites to make Los Angeles a better place. Then the plague of living death spread around the globe. Despite the best efforts of the superheroes, the police, and the military, the hungry corpses rose up and overwhelmed the country. The population was decimated, heroes fell, and the city of angels was left a desolate zombie wasteland like so many others.

Superheroes and Zombie apocalypse, awesome!!!
Revisado: 06-10-13
Would you listen to Ex-Heroes again? Why?
Yes I would. Excellent story. Mixing superheroes with the zombie apocalypse was pure genius. All in all, a very good read.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ex-Heroes?
The event that created the first zombie was VERY original.
Any additional comments?
I recently discovered Clines and his work. I wish he had more books out for me to read. I can't get enough of this author. I like having the female voices read by a woman and the mail voices read by a man. Having the reader do both gender voices sometimes ruins the narration for me. I wish more books were read like this.
