Historia
It’s the $10 million heist you’ve never heard of. In a matter of months, dozens of truckloads disappeared from American highways. But what were they carrying? Nuts. Marc Fennell takes you into a rabbit hole of crime syndicates, stolen identities and private investigators that will change the way you think about food forever. Eighty per cent of the world’s almonds are grown in the heart of California, but this journey will take you to Italy, the Spanish coast, deep under the earth and even into space.

Interesting until wokeness took over
Revisado: 12-23-20
It was a very interesting and entertaining listen until the host felt he had to get a righteous woke message added on. The investigation into the crimes was fascinating. The exploration of the topics at the end were pretty one sided and fairly superficial.

Great piece of historical fiction!

The story was thoroughly enjoyable. It provides an engaging visit to medieval Oxford without reliance on modernized attitudes (unless you are the argumentative type who will quibble about that sort of stuff no matter what).

Fast moving and enjoyable

Enjoyed the story a lot. Transition climax was awkward with what has become a trope.

Historia
Edward I is familiar to millions as "Longshanks", conqueror of Scotland and nemesis of Sir William Wallace (in Braveheart). Yet this story forms only the final chapter of the king's action-packed life. Earlier, Edward had defeated and killed the famous Simon de Montfort, traveled to the Holy Land, and conquered Wales. He raised the greatest armies of the Middle Ages and summoned the largest parliaments. Notoriously, he expelled all the Jews from his kingdom.

Historia
J.P. Moreland issues a call to recapture the drama and power of kingdom living—to cultivate a revolution of Evangelical life, spirituality, thought, and Spirit-led power. Moreland believes that evangelical Christianity can mature and lead the surrounding society out of the meaningless morass it finds itself in with humility and vision. With clear insight, he puts the thoughtful Christian in a position to understand our current struggle and to return to a responsible presentation of "the way of Christ" as not just a way of right living, but also a way of knowledge and meaningful life.

True call to follow Christ
Revisado: 03-27-15
JP offers a compelling case to truly follow Christ with all of you. I pray that the conviction I experienced leads me to walk more closely with Christ. As a side note it was quite the juxtaposition to picture JP speaking with James Adams' voice.

Historia
On May 1, 1915, with WWI entering its tenth month, a luxury ocean liner as richly appointed as an English country house sailed out of New York, bound for Liverpool, carrying a record number of children and infants. The passengers were surprisingly at ease, even though Germany had declared the seas around Britain to be a war zone. For months, German U-boats had brought terror to the North Atlantic.

The writing was terrific. Larson knows just how to weave all of the disparate elements from his research into a compelling narrative.
