Perfect spicy read for the Holigays! I loved the fake dating & Royal romance tropes in this novel! Both were done very well—in typical Max Walker fashion! Nick and Shi were so cute together and then when the spice started to occur, I was no more good!!! It was delightful!

Hands down, one of the best reads this year! I don’t usually read sci-fi or have an interest in artificial intelligence; however, this novel has changed that for me and showed me just how much a robot could love.

I couldn’t stop reading this book and I loved when, in the middle of the book, the story took on a second life of its own—following the AIs to a new, dangerous adventure with even more evil humans. I thought that was brilliantly done.

Also, yes, this is a queer love story, but it’s more than that. It’s about self-acceptance, finding your own identity, and understanding your own self-worth.

Finally…Cinderella meets The Matrix is the best way to describe this novel in comps—well done Kit Vincent!!!

Another fantastic story in the Mythos series by Carly Spade! I really loved the traveling to Scotland for this book, as well as the fruitful character building—specifically for the main character Elani!

Wow! Craig Montgomery is an author to look out for!!! Hands down, one of the best space opera-type books I have ever read. Space-Opera and Sci-Fi are not my go-to genres, especially when you throw in Zodiac magic—which I’m also not a huge fan of. However, Montgomery does a phenomenal job at inclusive writing, which sucks me in—any type of reader will love this book!!!

Such a great start to the duology and I can’t wait to see what unfolds in book 2!!!

I also love Casper as a main lead—I feel very connected to him, thanks to the novel’s brilliant writing.

Thanks for giving me a free copy, Craig Montgomery! This honest review is a result of your kindness.

I was sent this audiobook by it’s author in exchange for an honest review. From the beginning with the set-up, I was hooked. I love a good hostage scene in the beginning of a book.

I thought the story played out really nicely. By the end of the book, I was honestly surprised by who the killer was.

If you’re looking for a quick thriller from an indie author, with empowered women (written by a male ally), and a likable mother/daughter team, definitely check this book out!

I will say that the narrator was my least favorite part of the audiobook though. It did not sound as if she had decent recording equipment and there were moments when I was really caught off by the mouth sounds and breathing she was doing. I was also not a fan of the voices she used for all the characters. For the killer, it sounded muffled. For Julia, she sounded too chipper, and I did not enjoy the semi-seductive (but I’m a cool mom) voice she attempted for Brandi. I’m sure she’s a great narrator, but not for this book.

I think I was more excited to read this one! I loved it from beginning to end. However, I do feel like the ending left the reader with more questions—which is great for some—but for me personally, I really just wanted to know if this girl was just super paranoid or not. Maybe we’ll never know!! Overall, I really enjoyed it!

Loved! Minka is definitely a go-to thriller writer for me. Love her quick, twisty thrillers. I’m always in awe of her.

I did not see the twist in this one coming! If you love college-aged thrillers (which there are not many out there) this book is for you!

Released on May 30th, The Gay Best Friend is about the “token gay best friend” stuck between a warring bride and groom, who both just want their wedding day to be perfect.

Domenic Marino’s romantic life has crumbled. Reeling from a failed engagement, he now has to play the role of “gay best friend” to his two soon-to-be-wed besties. Usually, he’s a pro and switching on-and-off his hyper-masculine charm with his ultra-feminine confidence between his two friends, but when the bachelor party gets rowdy and a new unexpected romance blossoms, Domenic is left with a laundry list of secrets he can’t let out when he returns for the bachelorette party. Chaos ensues and a ruined wedding could be on the horizon.

The Gay Best Friend comes in at 9 hours and 36 minutes and captures both the essence of queer love and what we adored about the 90s romantic comedy. It’s narrator, Daniel Henning, brings a level of charm to DiDomizio’s writing, that I for one, was not emotionally ready for. I’m still trying to process just how amazing this audiobook is. For Pride Month, this novel is an easy 10/10.
