Time and Regret
Revisado: 08-28-16
I have both the ebook and the audio, but I mostly listened to the Audible version of this book. The narrators, Emily Sutton-Smith and Scott Merriman, are excellent.
This book has most of the elements I like in a book - historical fiction, mystery, and just a tad of romance. It alternates between 2 time periods, WWI (1914-1918) and present day (1991) and is told in 2 points of view, Grace in the present day and Grace's grandfather, Martin, during WWI, plus Martin's journals. It did get confusing at times when the story would switch from Martin's journals where he is speaking in first person and then the story switches to third person, but that may be because I was listening to the audio. It was an interesting way of telling the story though.
I liked the way Grace was able to solve the "mystery" using the clues in her grandfather's journals, but it did seem to take her a long time to figure it out.

Wonderful narration
Revisado: 05-30-16
When I got requested this audiobook from Audiobookblast, it was listed as "Literary Fiction" and the description sounded like something I would like (and I did like most of it), but there was just too much romance for my taste (I'm not a fan of romance novels).
The narrator, Laurel Schroeder, was excellent and this is what kept me going with this book.
I wish to thank the authors, the narrator, and Audiobookblast for the opportunity to listen and review this book.

Historia
Come travel into the 1930s and through the doors of St. Margaret's School for Girls. The place used to be an almshouse, until its previous occupants burned to death 13 years before. The townsfolk are at a loss as to what started the fire. Some said it was an act of the devil. Some said it was a resident who had too much to drink. The building, miraculously, survived.

Wonderful ghost/mystery story!
Revisado: 05-03-16
I really enjoyed this unique story. It's a mystery story as told by a 12-year-old ghost, but it's also so much more. The narrator, Vicky Ring, did a good job narrating. I look forward to more in this series.
I wish to thank the author and narrator and Audiobookblast for the opportunity to listen to this wonderful story.

Wonderful story!
Revisado: 03-25-16
This is the first book by Leona Bryant that I have listened to and I enjoyed it so much that it was hard to put down at night to go to bed. The first thing I did in the morning was put the ear plugs back in my ears to listen to more of the story and continued until I finished it. The narrator, Meghan Kelly, was very good and the voices she used for the different characters made it easy to tell who was talking. The only thing that bothered me about the narration was the volume in some places was extremely loud (like when Theresa was having one of her tantrums) and I was constantly adjusting the volume control.

Revisado: 03-16-16
I really enjoyed this classic sci-fi story. It's got everything to love - great characters, strong female characters, humor, adventure, archeological artifacts, and enough world-building to let you know about this universe without being boring. The narrator, Mitchell Lucas was very good.

Enjoyable story
Revisado: 01-27-16
I enjoyed this fast paced thriller set in Vienna. The story and the characters were interesting, and I loved the descriptions of Vienna. Not overly impressed with the ending though, it just seemed too pat. I didn't care for the narrator (Will M Watt) all that much; I didn't think his accent fit the story, but he did a good job with most of the character's accents.

Very entertaining story!
Revisado: 01-15-16
I enjoyed this story, it had an interesting premise and I really liked the main character, Jo Allison. The narrator, Lori Faiella, had a pleasant voice, but was a little bland, she showed very little emotion when narrating. She did seem to improve towards the end, but that may be because I got used to her style or maybe because I was enjoying the story that I forgot about how bland the narrating was.

Nice Christmas mystery
Revisado: 12-11-15
I enjoyed this short Christmas mystery story, but it would have been better if it were a little bit longer and the characters developed more. Also, there is no mention of whether the stolen money was found or not!
The narrator, Sabrina Hawkins, was good.

My favorite in this series!
Revisado: 11-06-15
I always enjoy Mma Ramotswe's gentle wisdom and Mma Makutsi is always a character! In this book, Mma Makutsi talks Mma Ramotswe into taking a vacation, but her idea of a vacation is not necessarily what everyone else expects! Mma Makutsi is left in charge of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective agency with Charlie and Rra Polopetsi to help her, and she handles the temporary promotion admirably! I've liked all the books in the series, but this one is my favorite.
