Katherine Nichols knew she’d had too many drinks, but they were only going a short distance. “There’s no traffic anyway,” Eve had pointed out. And they'd had such a great night out, the two of them. Even now, driving them home and knowing she shouldn’t, seemed almost mischievous. All part of the fun. Not anymore.

Good Book!! :-)
Revisado: 11-06-20
Started out a bit slow but once it got going, I found it to be a page turner... WARNING THOUGH, USES THE "F" WORD WAAAAAY TOO MUCH, I hated that!! Also uses the Lord's name in vain quite a lot. I shouldn't have kept on reading as I don't swear and don't like to hear it either. But as I said, it was a good story. I had wished, in the end, for a little more "payback" for Eve... shucks, I wanted to see her "pay" for what she'd done but .... sigh.... never happened to my liking, at least. Oh, she got her due but I wanted to see more "gotcha" stuff from Kat to Eve... Ahhhh, well, so it goes...

Pretty Good Book :-) Well Spent Credit.
Revisado: 06-07-20
I'm good at figuring out endings since I watch mostly mysteries on T.V., love them. This one has a bit of a surprise ending or maybe just different. I knew who was no doubt guilty but still, the ending was a bit unusual. A twisty, turny book. I think you'll enjoy it, it's a good read. I felt it was a pretty good "page turner"... I don't have a lot of time to read but I found myself listening with phone in my pocket, every time I was doing something where it allowed my brain to concentrate on the book and not on what I was doing...lol I I felt it was good money spent. OH, AND THERE IS A SURPRISE AT THE END!! I suspected it a bit before I heard it but not much!! ENJOY!! I DID!

Narrator was good but story was slow. I didn’t know the “culprit” until quite close to the end so that was good. Overall, an ok book but I guess I was glad when I finished it so I could move on to a better book.

Otherwise, not a bad book, moves slow in the middle. Could have done this book in less hours for sure but it's okay. Others of her books were wonderful. "THE LIAR'S HOUSE"... GREAT BOOK ... "HER PRETTY BONES", GOOD BOOK .... Narrator is good with voices.... just my opinion, try it for yourself???

Historia
Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods, on the winding rural road, in the middle of a downpour, with the woman sitting inside - the woman who was killed. She's been trying to put the crime out of her mind; what could she have done, really? It's a dangerous road to be on in the middle of a storm. Her husband would be furious if he knew she'd broken her promise not to take that shortcut home. And she probably would only have been hurt herself if she'd stopped.

Kept me reading. I’d buy it again. I do think it will hold your interest, depending on taste of course. Most books are somewhat predictable. I don’t think you can get away from that with these types of books.
