Fun story

Overall a fun listen. The narrator was epic!! The only thing I struggled with was the protagonist, he was too over powered and knew everything in an entirely new world. There wasn't enough background provided only hinted at as to why the son of the richest man in the world would know survival techniques. That said, he grows on you and is entirely a positive bloke :)

I loved the Phedre books, they were stunning and unique which is hard to come by these days. This story was perfect, the narrator was amazing and the story...well it was flawless on its own but also because it added insight into Phedre's story. Loved this!

Loved the story and narrator! Finally a story with a main character that is real and not 18 or 20...or even 50 but magically made young and spry. Claire is awesome and the story is too. If your tired of kids saving the world you won't regret this read/listen :)

The worst thing about a man being led to his execution—aside from the whole impending death bit—was that he immediately tried to figure out what choice had brought him there. Which Dannen thought was ridiculous. The one possible comfort a man could have, when faced with his own death, was that things simply could not get any worse. The problem, of course, was that things could always get worse.
