The story was clunky, unimaginative and just substandard.
I know that Carla Neggers is no literary genius but I usually enjoy her work.
This one felt like she just needed to fulfill a book deal and just phoned it in.

I’m full of disappointment

I have mostly enjoyed the series up to this point. I can’t believe I spent a credit on this book. It’s choppy to start leaving you confused and wondering if you missed a book. Once I realized I was on the correct book, my relief was short lived. It is just hours and hours of prompt ‘reading’ with the tiniest sprinkle of plot line. I think this book actually only covered two days in the land. This feels like it should be one of those short stories that gets published at the end of a series to fill in a gap. I hope someone lets us know ahead of time if the next book is the same diarrhea filled dribble.
Disappointed.
