Historia
In a culture increasingly indifferent or even hostile to Christian truth, followers of Christ need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their language or accept their source of authority. In Tactics, 10th Anniversary Edition, Gregory Koukl demonstrates how to artfully regain control of conversations, keeping them moving forward in constructive ways through thoughtful diplomacy. Step-by-step, you'll learn the tactics of good persuasion and defense, how to identify the tactics of your opponent, and how to build your case, patiently and practically.

Atheism veiled as “science”
Revisado: 01-23-25
This is a book written by a military historian who ends up writing a philosophical treatise on his interpretation of science and the future. He strawmans the theistic view, and he acts like science has proven atheism when the past 50 years of science has done just the opposite. (think, for example, origin of life research, the fine-tuning of the universe, and the evidence for the Big Bang). He begs the question in favor of naturalism and assumes that Darwinian evolution is true. The book is a travesty and I hope that this book does not do the damage that I think it will have on society.

Impressive
Revisado: 01-03-25
Craig is one of the few Christian philosophers who takes the Bible seriously, and is an expert in his field. This book reflects a stunning combination of scientific, logical, theological reasoning into a single coherent model of God’s relationship to time.

Historia
You don't have to be a computer scientist to have discerning conversations about artificial intelligence and technology. We all wonder where we're headed. Even now, technological innovations and machine learning have a daily impact on our lives, and many of us see good reasons to dread the future. Are we doomed to the surveillance society imagined in George Orwell's 1984? Mathematician and philosopher John Lennox believes that there are credible responses to the daunting questions that AI poses.

Historia
What can the call to discipleship, the adherence to the word of Jesus, mean today to the businessman, the soldier, the laborer, or the aristocrat? What did Jesus mean to say to us? What is his will for us today? Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Dietrich Bonhoeffer answers these timeless questions by providing a seminal reading of the dichotomy between "cheap grace" and "costly grace."

Be discerning!
Revisado: 05-26-24
Just because somebody is famous does not mean their theology is correct. Bonhoeffer confuses sanctification with justification. He heretically says that a person receives Gods forgiveness through baptism

Historia
John Wesley was an 18th-century preacher, theologian, and cleric who helped found the Methodist movement with his brother, Charles. Arguably one of the most important Christian voices of his day, Wesley wrote in his journal on a daily basis, capturing his views, thoughts, feelings, and prayers on paper to share with the world. The journal contains 50 years' worth of this great man's reflections and experiences and is widely considered one of the great spiritual classics.

Excellent all around
Revisado: 07-18-22
John Wesley was a man of God. Praise Jesus for him. Through this journal, you learn about the course of his life, the persecution he faced, and his dogged work ethic. Wesley is excellent writer, straight to the point, funny, devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. I learned the temperament and mindset of a successful evangelist in this book. May God bring more workers like Wesley into the harvest fields.
The narrator was excellent, perfect voice for the content.

Good stuff
Revisado: 07-06-22
Steve Parr is a long-time researcher on evangelism and church growth. Here he writes a fiction book on a young pastor turns around his dying church. Parr weaves actionable advice into the entertaining narrative, so that anybody who wants to see their church grow would learn tips they could implement for their own church. Also, I would recommend this for all Christians to get a perspective of the pastor's challenges in a church.

Revisado: 05-13-22
This a survey of Christian leaders over the past 300 years. It is inspiring, informative, and well-researched. I enjoyed so much of it.
It is written by Christians who are born again, so if you are looking for a secularist history, you may prefer looking elsewhere.
