For all history buffs and lovers of American History who want to listen to an enjoyable and informative read from the Iron Horse Chronicles, a trilogy by author Robert Murphy, download a copy of Bear Claws, book two in he series. The story is well researched and is a compelling piece of history that includes many captivating and historical events and details provided by the author and told through the lives of several characters combined with the building of the Transcontinental Railroad that will transport the listener back in time.

Finally, Brian James Steinberg narrates the story. He has a delightful voice, a nice pace, and presents moving portrayals of different characters.

Loved the way all of the characters come to life!! This situation has probably played out just like this hundreds of times! Every character and their stories were believable and full of life! The author does an excellent job of bringing in Fabiola’s religious beliefs and concepts throughout the story! I couldn’t put it down!!

I couldn’t put this book down!! You will fall in love with all of the characters ! You feel their struggles, but also the depth of their love and devotion to each other and their strength to just keep going! You must read this book! Thank you, Ms. Perkins-Valdez!!

This book is thought provoking! We think we know the story of the crucifixion of Jesus, but this takes us soooo much deeper! There is so much symbolism in His story that many of us miss, but it’s all discussed in this concise book!! It should be part of any serious study of Jesus life, and especially during Lent!!

This was my first Koontz story! Kept me on the edge of my seat! You hated the evil guys; they were evil personified! Koontz can describe every nuanced detail of people and setting! You feel as though you’re right there although it’s so scary and horrific that you don’t want to be!

What a story!

This was a superb depiction of what it really means to make the treacherous trip North! A good look into events and experiences that compel a person to leave everyone and everything to start a new life ! The author gives a glimpse into what it takes to endure the horrendous trip to America. This should be a must read for everyone working at the border and the rest of us who have a say in laws that are passed regarding citizenship and how migrants are treated in our country!

A very poignant look into the lives of real WW II heroes and the horror of war

Every adult should read this book so that we never forget what can happen when life is devalued, one man wants to be a Demi god and conquer the world and people fail to stand up for what they know is right! Very touching and detailed story and a very good look at what real life is like during war and the atrocities that were committed! And the story of what a few brave and committed people can do! Excellent and believable narration!!

A beloved First Lady's Story in her own words!

This should be required reading for students! What an inspiring and interesting story. Michelle is honest and open. She gives a very good look at life in the White House in general, and the Obamas in particular ! There's lots to reflect over long after you put the book down!

What a heart wrenching story of the treatment of Native Americans. This story shows what atrocities can be committed when people are totally devalued. We must take steps to ensure such treatment is never again allowed and perpetuated!! Everyone needs to read this book and ask yourself who were the true civilized people!!!
