This series gets better and more entertaining.
Revisado: 07-12-24
I have listening to all of the books in this series. The characters and the writing have gradually become more mature and compelling. This one is my favorite, so far. The narration supports the story and is clear, articulate and entertaining. This book is complex enough to be engaging but not so much that I have to back-up and re-listen to segments to maintain my understanding of the story nuance.

The fine writing and spellbinding narration.

I enjoy the TV show Midsomer Murders but I love the audiobook! The characters come to life and I can luxuriously wander through the story. The narrator is talented and spot on. Looking forward to hearing the next book.

I have listened to all of Jacqueline Winspear’s Maisie Dobb’s novels. I always am engaged in and entertained with the stories and characters. The narration by Orlagh Cassidy brings the characters to life. Thanks to both of you.

Poetic, fast moving adventure
Revisado: 03-21-19
John Payne is the voice of a poet masquerading as a sci-fi novelist. I enjoyed the adventure, the fantastical creatures, and the brilliant use of the English language in service of everything from the characters behavior to the architecture of villages and towns. Cassidy Ellenberger’s narration brought the story to life with her soft yet mysteriously engaging delivery. A delightful and engaging listen.
