Historia
We live in a world that tells us how to live, what matters (and what does and doesn't), and how to get what it says we want. These impersonal, external forces push us around and leave us off-balance, confused, and fatigued. Like actors following a script written by someone else, we find ourselves uncertain of where we have ended up, much less where we want to go, and asking, "What am I supposed to do next?" Among us, however, are those who live differently. The Gift of Lift seeks to unlock their secrets and provide a pathway toward intention, meaning, and purpose.

Fantastic book! Clearly illustrating, with personal and historic stories, the power of Stewardship and how that mindset can change one's perspective/life and the world around them.

Historia
Alice in Chains was the first of grunge's big four - ahead of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden - to get a gold record and achieve national recognition. With the charismatic Layne Staley behind the microphone, they became one of the most influential and successful bands to come out of the Seattle music scene. But as the band got bigger, so did its problems.

Great info, entirely too long...but worth it
Revisado: 03-03-20
de Sola goes a bit too deep into the early lives of the entire band. Great information but you need to go thru some rather mundane detaiils to get there. The chapters on the early days in Seattle, the Music Bank and the making of Dirt were fantastic. It could be a 4-5 hour book and not really loose too much. If you are an AIC super fan looking to know everything about the band, this book is for you.
