Historia
When two marines and their corpsman reunite after a decade apart, they find themselves caught up in the mystery of their former squad leader’s disappearance. With little more to go on than a handful of disturbing charcoal sketches and the whispers of a local legend, they plunge into the depths of one of America’s last truly wild places. But the trees themselves begin to whisper dark secrets. Secrets of trafficking and violence. Of rotten science and blood. Of something else that lurks in the shadows of the pines—something ancient, savage, and hungry.

FINALLY a book true to the Horror genre
Revisado: 01-21-24
Finally a WW horror with a decent plot, adult characters, no sickly romance, and sex scenes for those who need cheap excitement. An author who can write - and write suspense, thrills, intrigue, without having to fill it with folks with a short vocabulary where every other word is $%#& and completely out of place or unlike how the avg person speaks. This is NOT a wholesome book but is one written and stays true to the horror genre. No need to add romance, comic relief, or erotica. A good storyline and keeps moving. Thanks!

Annoying Character
Revisado: 09-03-23
I've attempted to get thru this book several times. I don't like the narrator and I liken all the joking and comments to what id expect of the class clown. This could have been a much better book if you left out the comedian and replaced Tommy w one who didn't sound like Winnie the Pooh.

But Uwe’s fortune changes when Hans Sauer, the village bully, recruits him to join a guerilla resistance unit preparing for the arrival of Allied soldiers. At first, Uwe is wary. The war is lost, and rumor has it that Hans is a deserter. But Hans entices him with talk of power, brutality, and their village’s ancestral lore: werewolves.

Bringing the the Gospel & Paul's story to Life!
Revisado: 08-17-21
I've had this book for years but never bothered to listen. I thought it would be a bit dull. Was I wrong. I've read Acts & Epistles before but this book places timelines between verses. Heitzig got me to think about Paul and put myself in his shoes. it helped me to better understand scripture, the surrounding conditions of the cities & various responses from hearers. Most importantly it got me to self reflect and check my own ways to see how I measured up to what God requires of me. btw, don't know where Heitzig finds his jokes before each chapter, but I had a lot of laughs as well. Great to see a man of God who can spread the good news - with the right mix of humor and seriousness. Looking forward to the next Heitzig audio. hope it will be just as good.

Historia
College student Meg Talley survives a violent attack, but when she insists her assailant was a hideous, monster-like creature, she is called hysterical. Journalist Douglas Morgan, private eye Nick Grundel, and horror novelist Blake Corbett, however, have each theorized the mangling, incredible though it seems, might be the work of a werewolf. Now they team up with Meg to peruse an intensive investigation. Neither skeptics nor believers are prepared for the bone-chilling terror and cataclysmic violence that will be unleashed in the night of the January full moon....

"Something is murdering my men." Thus reads the message received from a Nazi commander stationed in a small castle high in the remote Transylvanian Alps. Invisible and silent, the enemy selects one victim per night, leaving the bloodless and mutilated corpses behind to terrify its future victims. When an elite SS extermination squad is dispatched to solve the problem, the men find something that's both powerful and terrifying. Panicked, the Nazis bring in a local expert on folklore - who just happens to be Jewish - to shed some light on the mysterious happenings.

So much potential!
Revisado: 01-08-20
I would have given this book a 4 or 5 if the characters seemed more compatible. I hated Sheila and couldn't understand how Bjorn could be attracted to her. He's supposed to be wise, sharp, smart, etc. so I find it difficult for him to be with Sheila - too forward (?), and too risky to be around.

Historia
Among the Northern Cheyenne of the Great Plains lives a boy named Winterfox, whose family has fought monsters since the days of the Spanish conquistadors. In the aftermath of Westward Expansion, he has become the sole heir to their blood feud against the Beast. Winterfox comes of age in the long shadows of the American frontier, a time when magic has not yet passed into myth. It is a place where the mundane and fantastic still walk side by side, and the warrior society of the Rédo’osnin Dog Men will be remembered a little while longer.

Well Witten, Great Story, &Fantastic Narration!
Revisado: 01-08-20
I LOVE Werewolf (ww), vampire, beast etc stories. Unfortunately this is usually a guarantee of stupid, immature characters, terrible writing, & detailed descriptions of sex/gore that's irrelevant to building a character or story line. This book (as his last 3 books) is the type of writing I like - suspense/horror, strong characters, great writing/ plot, even the parts describing ww lore & remarks that give insight into actual treatment of Native tribes - all packaged in this story.
The narration is absolutely fantastic! Easton's use of "authetic sounding" Native names & words make it all the better. This makes me want to re read book 1 because I now have a better idea of who's who, background, & ww lore.
The only downside is Easton's stories can occassionally be difficult to follow due to the number of characters, Native words & extensive ww lore. I would like a little more 'scare' but still, this book is another ww book that ranks high on my list. 👍
Ok Easton, I'm waiting for book #5, and this time pls dont wait so long between writings or in getting the audible version.
