Historia
Ajax answers the call of duty and becomes an Einherjar space marine, charged with defending humanity against hideous alien monsters in furious combat across the galaxy. The Garm, as they came to be called, emerged from the deepest parts of uncharted space, devouring all that lay before them, a great swarm that scoured entire star systems of all organic life. This space-borne hive, this extinction fleet, made no attempts to communicate and offered no mercy.

Wow! Made me take the long way home!
Revisado: 06-25-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is an amazing blend of narrator and story that starts slowly and builds to a tense and seat-gripping conclusion! Great story development, character development, and while the first couple flashbacks might be a touch confusing just let them sink in - the clarity really kicks in with the second act and gets the blood pumping.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Crossing Lines?
The closing scenes are written and narrated in a thrilling combination that nearly had me cheering out loud on my commute home.
What does Craig Jessen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The pace of narration and inflection is perfectly suited to this story, especially moving into the final sections. Whomever bought this combination of writer and speaker together certainly picked winning team!

Great "Weird West" story!
Revisado: 06-23-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Strong distinguishable characters dealing with internal and external conflict, working towards atonement, a smooth mix of historical settings and a supernatural element that adds to, but does not overwhelm, the classic western setting.
What other book might you compare Marked Men to and why?
This would fit on the "Weird Western" book shelf, but much closer to Deadwood than "Cowboys and Aliens" or "Brisco County Jr".
Which character – as performed by Rish Outfield – was your favorite?
Rish did a great job with the voices, and paused appropriately to help make the transitions clear during flash back sequences too.

Would you consider the audio edition of Last Man Home to be better than the print version?
Amazing story and narration - the intensity and accents really bring the characters and settings to life. Redemption is there for the characters, but it's not easy to reach.

Historia
Famine. Death. War. Pestilence. These are the harbingers of the biblical apocalypse, of the End of the World. In science fiction, the end is triggered by less figurative means: nuclear holocaust, biological warfare/pandemic, ecological disaster, or cosmological cataclysm. But before any catastrophe, there are people who see it coming. During, there are heroes who fight against it. And after, there are the survivors who persevere and try to rebuild. THE APOCALYPSE TRIPTYCH will tell their stories. Edited by acclaimed anthologist John Joseph Adams and bestselling author Hugh Howey, THE APOCALYPSE TRIPTYCH is a series of three anthologies of apocalyptic fiction. THE END IS NIGH focuses on life before the apocalypse. THE END IS NOW turns its attention to life during the apocalypse. And THE END HAS COME focuses on life after the apocalypse.

Amazing, couldn't put it down!
Revisado: 05-14-14
Where does The End is Nigh rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of my favorite audio books, and I have listened to quite a few. I prefer short story anthologies and every single piece in this book was a new gem.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The End is Nigh?
I loved that so many of these stories came at the apocalypse premise from unusual directions. Every time the world is going to end in a different way, and the character viewpoints are also very different so each new story brings a different perspective. Sometimes the protagonists are likely to live, sometimes they don't make it to the last paragraph. As a reader, the uncertainty makes each story exciting.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
It was great to hear famous podcast voices such as Mur Lafferty, Tina Connolly, Kate Baker, Jack Kincaid, Norm Sherman and others who consistently deliver clear, evocative story narrations - these are artists at the top of their craft delivering excellently edited performances.
Any additional comments?
John Joseph Adams compiled a GREAT set of stories in this anthology. I can't wait for the next book in this series to be released!

Even in Empire City, a town where weird science is the hope for tomorrow, it's hard for a robot to make his way. It's even harder for a robot named Mack Megaton, a hulking machine designed to bring mankind to its knees. But Mack's not interested in world domination. He's just a bot trying to get by, trying to demonstrate that he isn't just an automated smashing machine, and to earn his citizenship in the process. It should be as easy as crushing a tank for Mack, but some bots just cant catch a break.
