Historia
The Man on the Mountaintop tells the story of Holy Man Joe, an ageing and unassuming man who lives in a hermitage on top of a mountain. During the summer months, thousands of hopefuls line the path leading to his door, seeking his wisdom. From bombastic, wealthy nobles intent on cheating their way to the top to drunkards who gradually build the physical and mental strength they need to quit their addiction, The Man on the Mountaintop is a rousing tale full of humour, wit and life lessons.

Too British
Revisado: 02-09-19
I'm sure this may be a better book than I give it credit for. It's a very rare book written out of my culture that I enjoy. The book seemed to drag on as a list and didn't fall into a story type plot. While it might be enjoyable for some, I prefer audio books for entertainment that helps to ease long car trips. This one was not entertaining enough to keep my interest. There were no characters that caught my interest, the list of characters that went to see the wise man seemed to primarily have petty problems that could have been solved by a friend although they seemed to be character attributes that would not likely see lasting change. The "solutions" seemed obvious and rather childish. The premise of all these people waiting in line to talk to a "wise " man seemed pretty unrealistic as well.
