Yeah I am quickly growing to dislike the main character. I won’t spoil anything but I just find it weird that he sees all the horrors that come with following Everdine but she gets close to him and because they almost have another “moment” he just goes along with it again. I don’t know it just makes him really unlikable. The narrator does a superb job though and make this easier to stomach

I’m sorry while I love the story and characters the performance by the author was awful. His attempt at trying to do different voices was difficult and had completely taken me out of enjoying the story.
Edit: I have just finished my second listen through of the book and honestly, the performance has grown on me. While I did not like it the first time after this play through I’ve come to actually end joy his performance and it has made my enjoyment of the book even better
