This was a great story, a good intro to Jack Ryan Jr.
My only real disappointment was the performance of the reader and the editing of the recording.
It was like listening to someone read a bedtime story to a child. The voice was so calm, so peaceful. Not at all what a dramatic reading should be.
The editing of each section was poorly stitched together, there was always an overlap of what was just read, it was not even consistent, sometimes it was a few seconds and sometimes it was several seconds of having to listen to the same thing over again.

I like the story. I have enjoyed all of John Ringo's books.
This book the editing sucks, poor voice match on insertions. It is jarring to listen to Tim Fannon and find that in the middle of the text he is reading someone has inserted some minor text using perhaps a different person to read those few words or someone used a different recording studio.
I hope that this book is renarrated / rerecorded.

I was expecting a full length story, at least 5 hours of reading time.
This story is barely a chapter in length.
I was impressed with the quality and performance of story. It was well written, it grabbed my attention and said listen to me!

I was expecting a single book.

The book contains several short stories that each could have been expanded into a full book each. The narrators were all good. None of the short stories tied to each other except in a general story line, so I found them a bit hard to follow.
I hope to find that all of the short stories are expanded into full blown stories. Lots of potential there.

poor reading. good story.

the reader talks most of the time in a monotone, all of the characters voices are the same. very hard to follow because of this. I might not even finish listening to it.
good story though.
I'd probably give a better review if it was renarrated by someone else.
