Historia
The Bodies of Others is about how we came to the harrowing civilizational crossroads at which we find ourselves—engaged in a war against vast impersonal forces with limitless power over our lives and which threaten the freedoms we have always taken for granted. In her most provocative book yet, Dr. Naomi Wolf shows how these forces—from Big Tech and Big Pharma to the CCP and our oligarchical elites—seized upon two years of COVID-19 panic in sinister new ways, to not only undermine our republic but to fundamentally reorient human relations.

Historia
The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Historia
The Theft of America’s Soul is a prophetic wake-up call for all who desire to see our nation thrive, challenging listeners to exchange these 10 lies for truths that will bring peace of mind, harmony, and prosperity back to our country - an invitation to experience the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming love of God. Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and one of the most recognized voices of conservative Christianity in America, believes that little by little, America has allowed the lines of morality, decency, and virtue to be erased.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Robert’s boldness in sharing the truth of the gospel is both a challenge and an encouragement. His prescription for America needs to be taken by all who live in One Nation Under God.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

Extraordinary
Revisado: 01-25-20
I have listened to dozens of books. The Boys in the Boat is in a category all its own. The author makes it seem as though you are watching events unfold. The narrator completes that task. I would recommend that a anyone who has read the book listen as well. For the listener, it’s as though you are watching, not just listening.
Five stars is not enough.

In this revolutionary look at the brain, best-selling author, psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst Norman Doidge, M.D., introduces both the brilliant scientists championing this new science of neuroplasticity and the astonishing progress of the people whose lives they've transformed.
Introducing principles we can all use, as well as a riveting collection of case histories, The Brain That Changes Itself has "implications for all human beings, not to mention human culture, human learning and human history."

This is a fascinating explanation of the complexity and capacity of the human brain. However, I can’t get my complex brain to understand how someone can see our amazing brain with it’s ability for neuroplastic change and believe it came about by chance.

Historia
Before men ruled the earth, there were wolves. Once abundant in North America, these majestic creatures were hunted to near extinction in the lower 48 states by the 1920s. But in recent decades, conservationists have brought wolves back to the Rockies, igniting a battle over the very soul of the West. With novelistic detail, Nate Blakeslee tells the gripping story of one of these wolves, O-Six, a charismatic alpha female named for the year of her birth.

Historia
One of the most admired nonfiction writers of our time retells the story of one truly fabulous year in the life of his native country - a fascinating and gripping narrative featuring such outsized American heroes as Charles Lindbergh, Babe Ruth, and yes Herbert Hoover, and a gallery of criminals (Al Capone), eccentrics (Shipwreck Kelly), and close-mouthed politicians (Calvin Coolidge). It was the year Americans attempted and accomplished outsized things and came of age in a big, brawling manner. What a country. What a summer. And what a writer to bring it all so vividly alive.

A another gem by Bryson
Revisado: 08-01-17
If you could sum up One Summer in three words, what would they be?
The author weaves the stories from 1927 wonderfully. There is much here I was only slightly familiar with. Hearing all the large stories that were happening and intersecting makes for a very interesting and fun read and a learning experience as well. His narration is equal to his great writing and amazing research - that brings history to life.
What did you like best about this story?
The broad scope of the author's research to bring all the events together.
What about Bill Bryson’s performance did you like?
He is a story teller. His voice is very easy to listen to and he makes the characters vivid in the mind's eye.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't have an extreme reaction. I was impressed with his ability to make history so interesting.
Any additional comments?
As with the author's other books, I believe this is best as an audio book. His narration paints a picture that I feel would be missed by reading.

Historia
Christianity is a picture of reality. It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end. In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story.

Historia
The New York Times best-selling author heralds the future of business in Free. In his revolutionary best seller, The Long Tail, Chris Anderson demonstrated how the online marketplace creates niche markets, allowing products and consumers to connect in a way that has never been possible before. Now, in Free, he makes the compelling case that, in many instances, businesses can profit more from giving things away than they can by charging for them.

Anderson is an exception to the general rule that authors should not narrate their own books. Learned a lot about how "free" can have great value.
