Historia
Kip O’Connor lives a simple life in the little seaside town of Pearl Bay. Unless it’s tourist season, things tend to be pretty peaceful. There is, however, one never-ending source of irritation in the form of Police Chief Merrick Dawson. Merrick is Kip’s older brother’s BFF, and nothing seems to bring Merrick more joy than nagging Kip about silly things. You’d think a police chief would have more important things to do than lecture Kip on parking tickets and picking up pet waste, but somehow Merrick always finds the time.

ENJOYABLE WITH SOME EYE ROLLS
Revisado: 01-06-25
Spoilers… Enjoying the coziness of the mystery but confused with the townsfolk’s blindness. It’s a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business and yet there’s no questioning the newcomers or their intentions. The one officer not knowing Kip and giving him a hard time when he’s at the center of the mystery will finish but figured out the case in the early chapters

Historia
I’ve investigated some pretty strange cases in my life, but I have to say this is a first. A corpse—a murder victim—has gone missing during the middle of an investigation, and no one has any clue where it went. Psy is called in to clear the investigative team and make sure they’re not an accomplice. It’s a four-hour drive outside of Nashville, to a place famous for being haunted, so none of us are particularly eager to go.

SAME AS 2021 BOOK

Great book/narration but purchased thinking it was a new title and it’s the same book as the 2021 version - so annoyed.

Historia
With Malcolm on forced bed rest and off duty, Detective Seong-Jae Yoon faces his first solo case since joining the BPD—and it's one that will challenge his morals, his sense of duty, and his insistence on adhering to the letter of the law, especially when his actions in the Bishop case leave him questioning his own integrity. When the supposedly accidental death of a husband and father points to foul play in the victim's family, how close will Seong-Jae look to determine if the ends justify the means . . . and will he be able to live with the choices he makes?

LIKE THE SERIES BUT THIS PARTICULAR STORY SEEMED ALL OVER THE PKACE
Revisado: 02-06-23
Narration was great. I like the previous books but had a hard time following the twists and turns in this book. It dragged in some places and the end was just thrown at us with a few minutes left. Left us with a cliffhanger that I’m not sure I have the time to listen to the next book if it will be like this one
