Historia
In the quest to save my life, I delved into unnatural powers and changed myself utterly. I mastered new forms of Magic and discovered others. I expanded my knowledge, learned, and grew; both as a Magician and a man. It wasn't enough. All I managed to do was to buy myself some time, and now that time is running out. My brother has fought me every step of the way. He even murdered my one hope of a cure, and in his demented desire to finish the job, went digging into mysteries he had no business with. Now, he's been taken.

The long-awaited sequel to Jake’s Magical Market is finally here—and now with more market! Well, not quite yet. First, Jake has to survive a perilous trek through time if he ever hopes to return home to his friends, his market, and his former world. The last time we saw our intrepid hero, Jake had barely managed to escape being trapped on a dead version of his own world. Using a combination of his new powers, he threw himself backward through time, back to when the god that trapped him first rose to power.

I was a little concerned with Travis no longer doing the narration, but I understand that sometimes schedules don't line up. I was pleasantly suprised that it wasn't as noticeable as I expected it to be. I listened to the first book again right before starting the second and still I was happy with the narration. This book flies by the run time and I've already pre-ordered the 3rd one! Buy and enjoy this one without hesitation! You'll be glad you did!

Not as good as the first
Revisado: 10-23-21
Narration was wonderful. Story was decent. Biggest complaint is the all the characters are assholes. Lillian was likable in the first book, not so much in this one...Not sure why the bad guy in the first book is someone we are supposed to root for in the second. At least Damien being a cocky dick is commented on in the story and has reasons..I didn't want anyone to win..that's how unlikable the characters are in this story. I gave it 4 stars but only 3 for the story. I hope the next one is as good as the first.

Great start with a few minor flaws
Revisado: 06-01-21
Overall I really enjoyed the story. Pacing was decent even if the MC seems a little OP even though he's just starting out. Knowing things is a great help, but one shotting opponents that are supposed to be really insanely strong is a little much. My biggest criticism though, is the amount of time spent going over the same information time and time again. I understand that it's important to let the reader know why things are happening, but at some point it almost becomes insulting. I don't need to be spoon fed. You covered it once or twice, I can make the connection without rehashing it everytime it comes in to play. Still a great Book 1 and the characters are pretty well fleshed out and it's a fun listen! I'll definitely be getting book 2!

Another gem and a half!!
Revisado: 10-10-20
If you've listened to the first 7 books, this book is a must have obviously. It has all the elements you've come to love in the Cradle series and more. Some questions that you've had from the beginning are answered in very satisfying ways and there are still many more to be answered in the future. I can't say enough good things about this book, but I'm also not going to spoil it!
If you haven't read this series, then lucky you!! You can go right now and experience it for the first time!! There's a reason this book is #1 right now!! Now I'm off to listen to it again while I try to patiently wait for the next one!

I had to send it back.
Revisado: 07-23-19
I really wanted to like this book. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know. I thought I read a review that said they thought this author "Had been in the military and really knows his stuff". Then, in the first few mins of the book, I hear one of the characters complain that the base is called base D instead of something cool like bravo or delta. That was my first red flag. Delta is just the phonetic letter for "d". Anyone that has been in the military should know that. When I was in the Army, we were in Charlie company, but we didn't write out the word "Charlie" we wrote C co. Anyway, I just felt the author was trying too hard to make the guys sound like authentic military guys by using every catchphrase he has ever heard in a military movie or book. A lot of people really like this book I just am not one of them.

good final book in the trilogy
Revisado: 05-11-19
The story overall is very good. The narration is way better than the first book and a little better than the second. I really enjoyed the ending but some of the middle was a little hard and a little of the end, was a bit hard to follow. Too many names of characters with little introduction made it sort of confusing to understand who was fighting who. It's still definitely worth listening to and since I've already listened to all of Cradle(if you haven't buy it right now!!!) I'll be trying to find more books from this author!
