I had no idea what this was but just clicked on it because it was one of the monthly freebies. I was in tears while driving! The story and performance by James Leceane are excellent, sad yet so uplifting. Don’t miss this and James I’ll look for your work everywhere now.

Yet Davis rarely revealed much about himself, his philosophy and decision-making. Everyone knew of Davis and his catchy slogans, especially "Just Win, Baby". But no one knew much about the man. Everyone, it seemed, had a strong opinion about Davis, but precious few had enough information about Davis to proffer an informed description.

The three authors are two longtime pro football scouts and a seasoned sports writer that give readers an inside peak at working with Al Davis and various NFL players, coaches and staff. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to each author's anecdotes during my long commute. Highly recommend!

What made the experience of listening to The Best Land Under Heaven the most enjoyable?
Interesting background of the many members of the party. Sometimes difficult to follow the numerous different people while listening and driving.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Best Land Under Heaven?
Tamsen Donner's refusal to leave her sick husband and Herculean efforts to save her children.
Did Michael Wallis do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Not so much.
Any additional comments?
I swear I heard him say liberry instead of library. He's a good voice actor in animated films but very distracting reading his own work. This is a very well researched book that may be better read then listened to.

I found Jim Daly's ideas compelling, and learned a bit about the bible too.
