Loved this book! As a white woman runner it was challenging at times, I've always thought running was very inclusive. Alison breaks down all the ways that the industry and individuals like myself who thought we were being 'woke', weren't actually being helpful in practice. If you are willing to learn and open your horizons, I encourage all white runners to read this book.

So this girl went from not exercising at all, to running a full 26.2 mile marathon in less than a month? That is so unbelievable as to be ridiculous. Maybe a 5k. As a fat runner myself oh, I know how much work is involved in running a full Marathon. there's no way she did it in a month. The story was more focused on the extracurricular relationships anyway but I found the story to be a mockery of marathon running.
