What a clever witty and well developed fantasy series

and the perfect voice interpretations of Vikas Adam, i was blown away

i listened to all 5 books in 1 week. Such a clever story with a lot of depth disguised in witty dialogues and dramatic events, such charming and well developed characters.
and Vikas adams has a different voice and speaking style for every character, in my opinion the best reading performance ever.
Just listen to Bob and Emilia and Svenja.... and Julius is charming and clever, one must not be the strongest to be successful. Enjoy the meanest mother ever

I miss the characters already , maybe Rachel continues the series ...

Story well written, monotonous voice

The story grew on me over the 3 books,
character developement is improving and getting deeper, good buy for 1 credit

What a pity, that the Narrator has such a monotonous voice. The voice is husky and interesting, but all characters sound the same. especially there are difficulties with the male characters,

OUTSTANDING AUTHOR and SERIES

atricia Briggs: Autobuy, outstanding series, outstanding author

Among the best series in the PNR world.Intelligent plots. Lost of twists and turns. Deeply and detailled developed characters with lots of flaws and weaknesses. The evil heros also are fascinating
Richly and thoroughly evolved world.
Especially Mercy is by far not the strongest shifter, she solves her tasks with intelligence and creativity
i love love love her clever arguments, the funny and serious banters.

and the books get better and better, if you like this series you must read also the alpha and omega spinoff series, such a treat, i love this author
If you like audiobooks, also the audiobooks are first class, top narraters

HOW COULD YOU !!!

How could you change the narrator?
I understand that the book is written from a dual POV but how could you destroy adriens uniqueness?
9 books (including VA) we could enjoy emily shaffers unique interpretation of adrien.
and now suddenly he changed into a normal (boring) guy? Whoever is producer and responsible for this change has clearly not understood that people love this series not only because of the wonderful writing of mrs mead.
i had to stop listening and could not continue for half a year. now i started this book again and i am still absolutely disappointed.
Also Mrs Shaffer has changed her intonation of adrien, i better not put into words how angry i am

SO SAD:Narrator change effects impact of storyline

After Vampire academy i was looking forward to this series so much, that i waited patiently 6 years until the last book was out, before i started listening

Emily shaffer and especially her interpretation of adrien for me made the vampire academy series special. And the first 3 books of bloodline did not disappoint, clever plot and excellent lively interpretation.
Exactly this is missing since the 4th book. alden ford is not bad but boring compared to Emily and now also Emily shaffer seems to hold back and has reduced the emotion in her reading.
i am so disappointed, for the first time in the series i have to re-listen to certain passages because i was not so hooked any more and apparentely overheard things, though the story is well developed.

i will read the last book just to get the happy ending, but,,

Too sweet for me, it could have been good

I listened to about 60% and then couldnt stand the sticky sweet draw between maggie and caleb anymore. i could not finish the book

There were good and inventive fantasy parts, but there was not enough background story of the aces. where came they from? what is their purpous etc
and every 5 minutes the same repetetive love confessions between caleb and maggie, they had to actually talk about their love all the time, because one could not feel it, no chemistry at all

some intentional similarities to twilight but not the magic of twilight
i am disappointed, all these high ratings at amazon com, where come they from?

Annoyingly whiny heroine

I only finished the book because i already bought it nearly 1 year ago together with the 2nd book.
The story started interesting but continued predictable und the weak heroine made me suffer all the way long.
Emily either throws up or has tears in the eyes.
Too many not hot but clinical sex scenes, i would have prefered e deeper developement of the story.
Could have been a good story - pity.

The book starts a little slow but then gets better and better.

Dont miss it, among the best teen stories i have read.
