Historia
Just as patients are about to be released with a clean bill of health, their conditions take a devastating turn for the worse. Accompanied by the newest member of the Women's Murder Club, Yuki Castellano, Lieutenant Lindsay Boxer probes deeper into the incidents. Could these cases just be appalling coincidences? Or is a maniac playing God with people's lives? When someone close to the Women's Murder Club begins to exhibit the same frightening symptoms, Lindsay fears no one is safe.

Entertaining

I am a huge James Patterson fan and I love the Women's Murder Mystery Club. I felt this book to be missing something though (I am not sure what). It felt a little hurried at the end as if to wrap things up too quickly.
Overall I enjoyed it - although I am glad I was listening to it, as I am not sure if I would have made it through it if I was reading it.

I downloaded this for my husband, which is surprising as I am normally very selfish about my downloads. But he wanted me to report that he has enjoyed this books - and he must as he continually listens to it over and over and tries to talk to me in Japanese.

Historia
For each of us, there is a connection between our early family dynamics and experiences and our current attitudes and decisions. Many of the people Dr. Laura has helped did not realize how their histories impacted their adult lives, or how their choices in people, repetitive situations, and decisions, even their emotional reactions, were connected to those early negative experiences, playing a major role in their current unhappiness.

With my long drive to and from work, this allowed me to drift off mentally and to reflect on my own childhood and how there are always people out there with worse experiences. So pretty much I gathered what I already knew. Get over it - learn from it - and move on.

Historia
It was Tannen who first showed us that men and women speak different languages. Mothers and daughters speak the same language, but still often misunderstand each other, as they struggle to find the right balance between closeness and independence. Both mothers and daughters want to be seen for who they are, but tend to see the other as falling short of who she should be. Each overestimates the other's power and underestimates her own.

I downloaded this thinking that it would help me communicate better with my teenage daughter and I ended evaluating my relationship with my own mother more. Although it was a good audiobook, I feel that I was a little misled and perhaps that was my own doing. Of course my relationship with my daughter is the same - but I understand now why my mother and I have the relationship we have.
