Historia
Even though she won’t deny her love for pretty (and pricey) things, Nineve Blackmoore is almost painfully down-to-earth and sensible by Blackmoore standards. But after a year of nursing a broken heart inflicted by the fiancée who all but ditched her at the altar, the powerful witch is sick of feeling low and is ready to try something drastically different: a dating app. At her best friend’s urging, Nina goes on a date with Morty Gutierrez, the nonbinary, offbeat soul of spontaneity and co-owner of the Shamrock Cauldron.

Super cute and sexy
Revisado: 03-30-23
This book was just right for me right now. Not super emotionally demanding but still meaningful. I liked the pan4pan relationship as well and Morty’s fluidness. Like the 1st book it’s a bit corny but in a fun way. It’s nerdy and cute and a good light read. Totally recommend it!

I loved every single character. There were times when I laughed out loud, times when I teared up, and times when I smiled like an idiot. The way Courtney Milan writes romance is so beautiful and pure and I’m so excited for the next book in the series!

One of the best books I’ve ever listened to/read
Revisado: 04-19-20
I listen to Billy’s podcast and went to his signing event for this book in Chicago and I was excited to finally have time and money to listen to it. It didn’t disappoint. I have nothing bad to say. I cried but also laughed. Billy preforms it with his heart on his sleeve as he does everything. Perfect read.

I love Stephenson’s writing but it is always heavy on jargon which is difficult for me sometimes. However the characters he writes and the worlds he creates are so breathtaking that I always come away pleased.

Mara convinces Joseph to marry Amerind. It’s stupid, unnecessary, and totally out of character for everyone involved. I stopped when I got to that part. Couldn’t even finish. The books were already gratuitous and boring but I put up with it cause the overall plot was interesting. Just another masturabatory make fantasy.

A fairytale for adults and kids!
Revisado: 03-05-18
If you could sum up The Girl Who Drank the Moon in three words, what would they be?
A true fairytale
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Girl Who Drank the Moon?
Well I don't want to ruin anything but the little dragonling was my favorite. The baby voice that is applied when he talks was so cute!
What does Christina Moore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
God she was one of the best narrators I've ever listened to. Every character had a distinct voice that helped you to picture them.
Any additional comments?
At first I thought maybe this book was too young for me but I was so wrong. I didn't want it to end.

The two different narrators was really fun! It helped me to get into the mindset of both Bea and Allie.

God I loved them both.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Both!

Historia
When a spaceship landed in an open field in the quiet mill town of Sorrow Falls, Massachusetts, everyone realized humankind was not alone in the universe. With that realization everyone freaked out for a little while. Or almost everyone. The residents of Sorrow Falls took the news pretty well. This could have been due to a certain local quality of unflappability, or it could have been that in three years the ship did exactly nothing other than sit quietly in that field, and nobody understood the full extent of this nothing the ship was doing better than the people who lived right next door.

Wholesome and exciting
Revisado: 03-05-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! The characters are compelling and the story is interesting.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well obviously it's Annie Collins. In some ways she is your typical teen hero but in other ways she is so much more. She's someone I'd want to be friends with. I also loved Violet though.
Have you listened to any of Steve Carlson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've never listened to him before and at first I felt like it was weird. His voice sounds so old and the book is mostly covering the life of a teenage girl (there are other parts too but that's the biggest chunk) but as it went on I found his voice soothing and kind of funny. He was quirky and added a lot of character to it. In the end I wouldn't want anyone else.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really. This book was not really an emotional rollercoaster, if that's what you're looking for.
Any additional comments?
I'm sure it's not everybody's cup of tea but I enjoyed it. It was funny, charming, and had some good twists.

Starts out slow, hang in there!
Revisado: 03-05-18
What did you love best about Mother Go?
It felt like a very authentic experience. Many have said the protagonist is winy and such but I don't agree. I think she behaves like a teenager and makes some mistakes. Eventually she comes around and realizes what she did and she comes to understand that her actions have gravity. I love it.
What does January LaVoy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She sounds like a real teenage girl.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Haha, maybe, Growing up in space is hard.

It's worth your time.
