Historia
There may be no tidy solutions or pithy answers to life’s big challenges, but Michelle Obama believes that we can all locate and lean on a set of tools to help us better navigate change and remain steady within flux. In The Light We Carry, she opens a frank and honest dialogue with listeners, considering the questions many of us wrestle with: How do we build enduring and honest relationships? How can we discover strength and community inside our differences? What tools do we use to address feelings of self-doubt or helplessness? What do we do when it all starts to feel like too much?

Wish she’d go on forever
Revisado: 06-08-23
Everything about this memoir is compelling and thought-provoking and touching. Not to mention that she has the most beautiful story telling voice that I could listen to forever.

Historia
Lynn Pinchas, a 50-year-old gay man, is approached by a younger man named Mark, who appears out of nowhere and claims he is Lynn’s son. Is this a scam? Apparently, Lynn’s father had taken him to a female prostitute when he was 18 to “prove” his son wasn’t gay. Could Mark’s mother actually be this prostitute? Through DNA testing, various scenarios are revealed as to the authenticity of Mark’s claim. And just when you think you’ve figured out the mystery, a 50-year-old secret held by Lynn’s dead mother is revealed.

Definitely the book to listen to!
Revisado: 03-06-19
One of the most heartwarming uplifting stories ever written. Really did not want it to end. Can’t wait for her next book. Hopefully she will write another soon. Her voice is soothing and warm and beautiful

Historia
In the 10 years since his classic Kitchen Confidential first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and lurking perils of eating out, much has changed for the subculture of chefs and cooks, for the restaurant business and for Anthony Bourdain. Medium Raw explores those changes, tracking Bourdain's strange and unexpected voyage from journeyman cook to globe-traveling professional eater and drinker, and even to fatherhood. Bourdain takes no prisoners as he dissects what he's seen.

Bourdain deglazes celebrity chefs
Revisado: 11-12-18
Anthony Bourdain certainly doesn't mince words in this fascinating tell all of celebrity chefs, food critics, writers and bloggers. Hearing his story in his own words makes one want seconds. He infuses each chapter with honesty and humor, wit and sarcasm. But always speaking his truth. I was completely engrossed and didn't want it to end. Such sadness to know he will never write another book again. I am so grateful to have listened to Medium Raw, in his voice, that I will undoubtedly listen again and again. #tagsgiving #sweepstakes #bourdain #food #chef #kitchen #celebrity #raw
