Historia
Nicole Ashe is the average American girl, except that she happens to work for a vampire and doesn't realize it. But all that changes when her boss sends her to convince a local rock musician – heartthrob, to help them retrieve an ancient relic that could be the answer to the vampire's curse. There is something about Nicole that stirs Alec's hunger nearly beyond control, but he would do anything to protect her...even from himself.

THE STORY GETS BETTER IN THE NEXT BOOK
Revisado: 03-05-13
Where does Born to Darkness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
As far as my 'listening' experience, I thought it was at the top in quality, narration and idea inventiveness. The relationships in the book were many and the female and male narration was really good. Some of the male vampire characters were slightly grating on my ears, but then what 500 year old vampire is going to have a soothing and pleasant voice right? Think about it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I think Nicole and Dash were my favorites. I know Alec was the hot male lead vampire, and I really did like him, but I tend to like the relationships that evolve out of a great friendship first. I am **hoping** that Dash and Nicole end up together, although right now there is absolutely no **hint** of this happening, I do know there are 3 other books in this series which may shock me to find that they do end up together in the end. I just gotten through Night Breed, the second book, which I totally love. You must give this series a chance. The first book is a decent start, Born to Darkness, but the next book really is, I think, even better and brings the story to new heights in the dark paranormal world, without going too dark.
What about Lee James and Destiny Landon ’s performance did you like?
Great acting voices and emotion in their voices.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
You got me thinking on this one!!! OK .. Alec loses Nicole to Dash? How could this have happened??
Any additional comments?
I bought the second audio book to this Immortal Destiny Series, Night Breed. I am very pleased to see the same narrators have done the next book. I hate it when you really like characters, and you have already matched the 'voice with the characters' and then it is all messed up when it is a different narrator, which also brings a different emotion to each character. Anyway, this series is turning out to be a definite good listen.

Moving and inspirational!!!
Revisado: 12-11-12
You see, you are going to be downpouring tears of incredible joy. You won't be able to help yourself. In fact, I dare you not to. And if you do not cry, you just might not have a heart; best see a doctor.
This was a great collection of 3-5 minute stories about people's lives. I was so intrigued I looked up their web site and was happily surprised I could listen to other stories on the website. I immediately sent a web link to all my friends and family. I laughed, I cried, I had a roller coaster ride of emotion during this short hour of time. This incredibly moving collection of conversations, recollections, tributes, and memories are from ordinary - extraordinary people. God bless the StoryCorps, and all of the beautiful stories it is collecting. What a treasure. And best of all, it was free.
Real people telling real stories. Nothing compares.
And Merry Christmas to ya-all!!

This is a wonderful rendition, set to the overture of "The Nutcracker", of the timeless Christmas classic by Moore to be enjoyed again and again from season to season.

just lovely!
Revisado: 12-11-12
I also thought this was just lovely .. and quite affordable I might add! Twas the Night Before Christmas has always been my absolute favorite Christmas story. And if no one knows - it was written by a father who worked at a newspaper house long ago. He was working late on Christmas eve, while his son waited up for him at home by the fire. He wrote this story for the child he loved so dearly, on the night before Christmas. A father to a son. Just lovely, I say. And the narrator, the British accent, all we wonderful too!
