How to Stop Feeling Like Sh*t is a straight-shooting self-improvement guide for women, one that offers frank advice about the most common self-destructive behaviors women engage in. Andrea Owen—a nationally sought-after life coach—crystallizes what’s behind several invisible, undermining habits, from catastrophizing and people-pleasing to listening to the imposter complex or to one’s inner critic. Powerfully on the mark, the chapters are short and digestible, nicely bypassing weighty examinations in favor of punch points of awareness.

Everyone should read this

There is something for everyone but it is scary how this book felt like it was written for me. Word for word, chapter by chapter it felt as though I had a doppelganger.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Great takeaway
Revisado: 10-09-18
The saying goes if you take one thing from a book and are able to use it in your life then it's a good book. I was able to find multiple and many. I really liked the real life comparisons through history. It gave much perspective.

Great Informative Book
Revisado: 10-01-18
This book is very informative on some of the things that should be done for children with ADHD. It is a great read, especially in the beginning of learning of the disability. It gives great references & quotes to remember. I do find the main statement of "Parent the child you have" to be the ultimate favorite phrase/statement in the book of all! The audible reader is clear and precise although I feel it lacked emotion of any kind behind the words and sounded very "clinical." I would still recommend it just made the book seem to take forever to finish.

In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Historia
Amy Alkon presents Unf*ckology, a "science-help" book that knocks the self-help genre on its unscientific ass. You can finally stop fear from being your boss and put an end to your lifelong social suckage. Have you spent your life shrinking from opportunities you were dying to seize but feel "that's just who I am"? Well, screw that! You actually can change, and it doesn't take exceptional intelligence or a therapist who's looking forward to finally buying Aruba after decades of listening to you yammer on.

Brainy yet simplistic
Revisado: 08-23-18
I loved the overall book, the reader though at times seemed to be more mono-toned which could cause for some to mind-wander mid reading. I loved the scientific references given and the different ways they explained the brains process in which we react to many/certain situations. Overall good book!
