Historia
For as long as I can remember, I've craved submission, but have struggled to put my wants into words. Then along comes a man online that I know only as Sir, and the connection is instant. Our desires align in a way I've never experienced. Anonymous or not, Sir is exactly what I'm looking for.

Check the warnings
Revisado: 04-20-25
I’m a huge fan of Riley Hart books and this is one of the first I can ever remember being turned off by at parts. The book isnt badly written and it doesn’t have a bad narrator. However, it definitely wasn’t for me! I made the mistake of just skimming over the content warnings and I strongly suggest u learn from my mistake. When she says this is different from most of her books she’s being truthful.

My husband, in a rage, hit me in front of the wrong person. Diego, or Kincaid to most, beat the hell out of him for it. I left with Diego anyway. Even though he could turn on me just like my husband did, I knew I had a better chance of survival with Diego. That was until I realized Kincaid could hurt me so much worse than my husband ever could. Physical pain pales in comparison to troubles of the heart.

It was ok
Revisado: 01-11-24
I really liked Kincaid his character was strong and understanding. There were a few instances where I felt like he should have held his ground a little bit more with her, for instance the second time she ran because of Bunny. Other than that I liked how his character stayed the same, he wasn’t changing from strong to weak like the main female lead was doing. Em drove me a little crazy, one minute she was strong and the next she was a sniveling little girl. She either wants to be with this man or she doesn’t but she needs to make up her mind. She honestly had me saying “are u kidding me woman, not again” along with a few choice words. Honestly her BS almost had me giving up on the book because I cldnt see how the lead woman wld ever be able to handle an adult relationship, let alone one with the head of an MC. I’ll try one more book from her series and it the lead woman isn’t any better I’m going to be giving up.

I wasn’t sure about this one but I’m very glad I gave it a chance. The story was extremely well done, there were times when I actually forgot that it wasn’t a movie and I went to look down at my phone, that’s how well the sound quality was. Give it a chance, you do t have anything to loose.

It was supposed to be an easy, in-and-out job. Nothing Darius Quinn hadn't done before. But this job had something none of the others did: Gray Nolan. Like Murphy's Law advised, anything that could go wrong, would. A mission to save one hometown-favorite son was turning into a quest to rescue 13 traumatized young men against odds so steep, he'd need an oxygen mask to scale them.

A mother’s strength
Revisado: 08-03-22
This was a new story for me and I was beyond ecstatic when I realized that the victim not only survived but also went on to heal and LIVE. I imagine the fact that this woman had a toddler and newborn at home who needed her played a huge role in her recovery. A fierce mother can do just about anything when it comes to her children. I always enjoy Military Murder and this episode was no different.

Historia
Against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters, Dr. Virginia Marilyn Edwards (Emmy Award-winner Kerry Washington) seeks out Agent Scott Thomas (Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne) at a secretive government headquarters. Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

Amazing
Revisado: 07-30-22
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, I was captivated from the very start. I can see how some people may skip over this due to religious beliefs however if you have an open mind I strongly suggest listening to it. The writers and producers basically pulled stories from the Bible and wove them into todays society showing us the struggles that some everyday people had coming to understand and accept what was happening to them even when others didn’t support them. I found the audiobook touched me in more of a spiritual way and left me with a message of hope and faith.
I can foresee some people having a problem with this audiobook and it’s take on the Bible and to those people I would say take a minute to consider the thoughts and conversations this podcast could start, the hearts and minds it may open just by making these biblical stories more relatable. In the end any story that might help someone on their own spiritual journey is a good thing so don’t get stuck on the little things.

Historia
Welcome to the summer of 1985 in Philadelphia, when the city was rocked—in almost every sense of the word—by two unprecedented events: Mayor W. Wilson Goode’s May 13 decision to bomb the headquarters of MOVE, a controversial Philadelphia-based radical communal organization, and the July 13 Live Aid concert, where international rock royalty convened in Philly to raise money for victims of the Ethiopian famine. Separated by just two months and eight miles, these events would showcase both the best and the worst of the so-called City of Brotherly Love.

Revisado: 07-26-22
I had no idea that about the bombing of the MOVE organization and the subsequent fire. This story was heartbreaking at times and heartwarming at others, it definitely shows us the different sides to ppl and the lengths that some will go to help build up or tear down their fellow humans. It leaves me wondering why we are so willing to help other countries when our own neighbors are in such need.

Historia
With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses.

I enjoyed this series
Revisado: 04-15-22
I noticed several people have problems with the narration and I can see how any accents will be a hit or miss and this narration goes back and forth from an American accent and an Irish accent, both male and female. It did take me a little bit to get used to it but I enjoyed it the more the story pulled me in. I suggest u sample the audio before purchasing it and see if it’s something you’d enjoy. I enjoyed this series and have listened to it twice in 3 years.

I’m the right-hand man of the mafia king. She’s a girl with a past she’s desperate to hide. But I need something from her. And I know she won’t help me. Not willingly. She’ll need some persuading. Not a fan of this one at all
Revisado: 03-23-22
I rarely leave written reviews however in this case I just had to let out my feelings in the hopes I might keep others from wasting their time, money, and/or credit on this book.
I enjoy all different types of romance books and I’m no stranger to Natasha’s books, mafia romance, or to dark romance themes but this book really got under my skin, and not in a good way! I pretty much always expect to dislike or hate the male lead (sometimes even the female lead) for the majority of a dark romance until the characters grow and win me over. However, this was not one of those books!! This audiobook made me want to pull out my hair, scream, and even throw my phone just in first 3 chapters. I held on and kept hoping the book would get better but it did not.
What disgusted me most was the way “punishment” and “spankings” were used in the story and mostly forced onto her in way that was mean and degrading. She wants to show some backbone one second but continually shows none, she goes from despising him and what he’s doing to her to wanting it but then immediately hates him again. At no point does her desire to be treated this way actually seem believable. This woman has survived her sadistic brother, hid her father and herself yet It’s supposed to be believable that’s she has not only allowed this man to continually verbally and physically abuse her but also fall in love with him?
Then there’s Giovanni himself who in his mind tries to convince us that he feels for her but he never says or shows her these feelings in any believable way. His use of spankings as a punishment and then as threats do not come off as sexual and he uses these punishments to force her into extremely harmful emotional situations without any care for what he’s doing to her. Giovanni continually takes and takes from “‘Em” without giving her anything, he even admits on one occasion that he refuses to let her keep her fathers medical records “just because he can” and he has no use for them! Nothing he does is to win her over, not even in private. He doesn’t slowly soften for her and seems to take pleasure in taking shit too far both physically and mentally with little to no regard for what might happen to her. He is only concerned with himself and his endgame and he admits this even while trying to convince us that he has deep growing feelings for her.
While I didn’t have any issues with the narrators themselves there wasn’t anyway they cld have done to make this story better. If you enjoy dark mafia romance Silvia Violet writes some very good books that range by degrees within that world. If you’re looking for a dark romance where someone is forced into a life of submission, where u hate the male lead and are slowly won over M. Never does a great job with one such situation as well in the decadence after dark series which starts with ‘Owned’, I started that series believing I wld never root for that man and yet by the second book I wanted her to forgive him and cldnt believe I’d been pulled to his side. I love those books they left me with extreme emotions all over the spectrum. This book left me feeling everything from sadness to enraged, and although I’ve said it before it bears repeating that I was left mostly with an all around feeling of disgust.

Great series
Revisado: 02-17-21
I am a huge fan of books in general and while I enjoy most I have very few that I consider favorites and even fewer I want to listen to again, yet this entire series has made it into my elite category, I’m in love! The Arsenal Series has mystery, fight scenes, romance, and a storyline that pulls all of your main characters back together throughout each book; you definitely need to listen/read all the books to follow the storyline. Cara Carnes doesn’t shy away from any subjects she gives u the whole picture and walks u thru her characters struggles so if u are sensitive when it comes to topics involving killing, torture, rape, and the emotions one wld struggle thru after such situations then this series isn’t for u. The books give an idea of what each character is going thru without going overboard and making us read pages upon pages of their torment. I loved seeing how the characters worked thru what happened to them and their loved ones, falling in love doesn’t magically make them better and the men don’t just brush everything off because they are soldiers and therefore unbreakable. Her characters are real,
flawed, broken, and loveable so give them a try u might just fall in love with them too!
