A bit boring, but not enough that I didn’t finish the book!I saw it through to the end.
Revisado: 07-18-22
I found that the narration, both characters but especially of Fallon, to be monotonous, dreary and gloomy, throughout the entire book. Even when it could have been a little upbeat, for some variety. The narration made the story seem too long, the first 2/3 of the book dragged a bit for me.

The ending
Revisado: 06-07-22
I expected an ending of the stories in book 5, in my naivity. I cannot locate the subsequent volume, if there is one. I’m not sure who wrote the ending for HBO series, and Google does not make that clear. I would like to find, if it exists, a book that finishes the story.

Historia
Harry Bosch has been given three years before he must retire from the LAPD, and he wants cases more fiercely than ever. In one morning, he gets two. DNA from a 1989 rape and murder matches a 29-year-old convicted rapist. Was he an eight-year-old killer or has something gone terribly wrong in the new Regional Crime Lab? The latter possibility could compromise all of the lab's DNA cases currently in court. Then Bosch and his partner are called to a death scene fraught with internal politics. Councilman Irvin Irving's son jumped or was pushed from a window....

On Lydia’s 28th birthday, Freddie died in a car accident. So now it’s just Lydia, and all she wants is to hide indoors and sob until her eyes fall out. First half and middle too long and dreary
Revisado: 05-26-20
I almost skipped from middle to the end, because the repetitive grief dragged on and on, so that I did skip several chapters only to get to the very predictable end. I felt the author never experienced true grief or loss, or she would have been more confident and not felt the need for such redundancy.

Historia
In the town of Ada, Oklahoma, Ron Williamson was going to be the next Mickey Mantle. But on his way to the Big Leagues, Ron stumbled, his dreams broken by drinking, drugs, and women. Then, on a winter night in 1982, not far from Ron’s home, a young cocktail waitress named Debra Sue Carter was savagely murdered. The investigation led nowhere. Until, on the flimsiest evidence, it led to Ron Williamson. Historia
An innocent man is about to be executed. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is such a man. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched in amazement as police and prosecutors arrested and convicted Donté Drumm, a local football star, and marched him off to death row.
