Loved the audiobook!
Revisado: 01-23-20
This is an excellent audio book. The narration was great and made the characters and storyline of a book I love come to life. I was immediately drawn back to this wonderful story. Ancient ruins, ancient life, sex, romance, a mix of Roman history and culture, political intrigue: what’s there that one can’t enjoy and love? Definitely erotic with a mix of suspense and intrigue. Highly recommend!

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

Thought-provoking, enlightening
Revisado: 12-10-18
I liked the author’s story of growing up poor, Mormon in Idaho, and how her desire to become something more, drove her to education, and leave the rural areas of her past, and upbringing.

Riveting adventure and a definite recommend
Revisado: 01-06-18
Henry Montague has been secretly in love with his best friend but can’t emotionally commit to saying it. It’s only when fate throws Henry, Percy and Henry’s sister on a wild chase through Europe to solve a puzzle and help Percy that Henry has to come to terms with his feelings. This story has twists and turns, funny moments, and poignant ones too. It was hard to pull myself away while listening to this adventure tale that starts in England, then winds through Paris, Marseille, Barcellona, Venice and then Santorini.

Funny, witty, moving
Revisado: 12-30-17
Love this audiobook. Felt that Simon was a real life 17 year old trying to navigate the pitfalls of coming out, dealing with friendships and conflict, even being bullied. The story is believable, the characters were interesting and engaging. Hard to stop listening until I got to the end.
