Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Another fun romp!
Revisado: 10-05-24
Ray Porter continues to be the best narrator for the Bobi verse. The story expands further out in the universe yet remains human in the best ways.

Historia
Neither cosmic philosopher Lars Soren, hotshot pilot Bianca Petrescu, nor the high priestess Jessica McHugh—Lady Death herself—can say quite where in the galaxy they are. But after an experiment gone horribly wrong, one thing is clear: Asphodel Station isn’t in orbit around Jupiter any longer. Worse, the monsters that live out here—ancient eldritch beings thought only to exist in stories and nightmares—have now been alerted to Earth’s existence.

Really fresh scifi action
Revisado: 08-21-24
Ray Porter is the best there is, hands down. Amazing character work, effortless pacing and intense feeling in his voice. Mayberry's story is imaginative and gripping as it weaves stories of the Old Gods with action packed scenes.

Historia
The Westgate Galleria Mall was once a sprawling, shining monument to American consumerism and suburban growth. Now, it is a crumbling reminder of how both have fallen - an architectural ghost, haunting the outskirts of society. That makes it the perfect filming location for a YouTube channel devoted to the exploration of abandoned places. But the mall isn't as empty as it seems, and the residents have sinister obscene plans for them. Now, with the daylight still hours away, both the hunters and the hunted will fight to stay alive...and desperately try to make it home.

Gothic? Not quite.
Revisado: 01-05-22
The authors give a promising location to horror fans - an abandoned shopping mall populated by other-worldly freaks and monsters, some of whom have familiar human needs like home and family. Enter the main human characters right out of an eighties teen slasher horror movie. Their motivations are based in the usual shallow desires - jealousy, greed, sex. They're YouTube influencers with an 'abandoned places' show who find themselves in the defunct mall and at the mercy of their sick captors.
There is a lot going on here - monsters trying to break the interdimensional barrier with an orgy of blood, bodily fluids and violence. That's where we see our main human characters meet their respective ends. Each gets their own, drawn out murder scene which feels pointless after the third or fourth one.
This book suffers from too many characters whose motivations we don't really care about. Even the monsters have their own issues to discuss, which they do. At length. However, fans of gore, dismemberment, rape and torture will be thrilled - there are so many scenes and characters to kill! Each meets their own unique end, but it's hard to care or even root for their deaths when they're so dull.
Dean Gallagher as narrator is a skilled performer. His matter of fact tone and distinct character voices gives life to the story and pacing. His character work is very strong with both the monsters and the humans as he brings us along on the story's journey. Dean is clear, precise and paints a vivid picture of the Suburban Gothic universe.

Still a fascinating world to explore, now in fiction mode. Solid narrator performance. Story was a bit short, but that's good in its own way.

Historia
It is the autumn of 1880, and Dr. John Watson has just returned from Afghanistan. Badly injured and desperate to forget a nightmarish expedition that left him doubting his sanity, Watson is close to destitution when he meets the extraordinary Sherlock Holmes, who is investigating a series of deaths in the Shadwell district of London. Several bodies have been found, the victims appearing to have starved to death over the course of several weeks, and yet they were reported alive and well mere days before.

Fun mash up of universes
Revisado: 06-03-21
Normally, I like my Sherlock Holmes to be in the purely rational universe, but this was able to merge with the Cthulhu mythos by bringing Watson up from sidekick to experienced cohort.
Lovely narration and 'old world' language really sets the tone.

A romance mixed with secret agents, shadow organizations, ghosts, psychic abilities and angst.
Rebecca Gallagher is an excellent narrator who defines the characters and their emotions with nuance. She brings the text alive with energy and wit. She understands the needs of the story and her pacing is spot on.

Extreme horror paints a bloody picture
Revisado: 04-13-21
For fans of movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Dead Alive, this book brings together extreme gore and mind-bending absurdity in an entertaining ride. An exploitation film in book form, filled with the most vile characters and horrible, violent abuse that brings to mind splatter cinema from an earlier era.
Dean Gallagher as the narrator brings each character alive and enriches the text with nuance and energy. Dean masters the pace and ratchets up the tension and horror with every chapter. Each character is distinct and expertly portrayed.

While honing her gifts as a cold-case consultant with the Dublin Garda, Liv Sullivan uncovers a personal connection to the spirits who seek her help. Faced with a chance to bring peace to the living, rather than the dead, Liv can’t resist. Even if it means working alongside the man who broke her heart. Fun, light supernatural mystery-romance
Revisado: 03-04-21
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Rebecca Gallagher is an excellent narrator who delivers her reading with energy and thought behind her characterizations. When not 'speaking' in the character's voice, her narration is clear and consistent in tone and pacing. She reflects the author's intent faithfully and finds nuances in the prose and characters to shine.
If you like Laurel K. Hamilton books, this author offers similar complexity in human romance relationships, without supernatural creatures. Just ghosts, psychic powers, nefarious government agents, and murder mysteries for the characters to solve.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.
