Historia
In this deeply original book, science writer Anil Ananthaswamy sets out in search of the telescopes and detectors that promise to answer the biggest questions in modern cosmology. Why is the universe expanding at an ever faster rate? What is the nature of the "dark matter" that makes up almost a quarter of the universe? Why does the universe appear fine-tuned for life? Are there others besides our own?

Narration is very poor.
Revisado: 10-06-10
The narration makes this book very boring to listen to. I normally love the subject and am interested in listening/reading to books about it but the quality of the narration was so poor I could not bear to listen to the whole book.
Imagine you listening to a university lecture on a subject you like but with a monotone lecturing that varies neither his/her tone or speed.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Never before has an author’s narration of his fiction been so important to fully grasping the book’s impact and global implications. Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of its monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them.

Truly, truly awful.
Revisado: 04-20-07
I realize most espionage novels (which I really enjoy) require some amount of suspension-of-disbelief but this book’s plot was more reminiscent of a Mexican soap opera than an intelligent spy thriller. The plot is poor, the writing is worse.
On top of this, the narrator has essential no inflection in her voice and just listening to this book can put you to sleep – the contents of the book not withstanding. Robotic, monotone, and mechanical are adjectives that come to mind.
This is the first audio book I’ve ever gotten through Audible that has had 4 plus stars, but has been terrible. I have to think that the author and her friends have placed a few of these reviews – it was that bad.

Very, very good book. When researched.
Revisado: 01-26-06
I picked up this audiobook when I saw the previews for the movie "Munich". (I've not yet seen the movie)
It's packed with details and really does grab your interest. On the basis of entertainment value I give this book five stars. I'd definitely recommend it.
I took off a star because it is somewhat biased. While it is written in the tone and manner of a journalistic research book (lots of facts, dates, times, references and quotes to specific interviews) it is written from an Israeli perspective. While it does relate many details that negatively reflect on some of the actions taken by the Mossad, it is easy to see the writer has a bias. When the Mossad ordered a killing it is a "counter-terrorism mission, when it is a Palestinian killing it is called terrorism.
Again, I do not say that the author condones/condemns the Mossad, it's just that the book was not researched from a balanced Israeli/Palestinian perspective.
I'd really be interested in reading (listening) to a book detailing the same subject but from the Palestinian perspective. I think they balance would be great and that would help me make my mind up for myself.
All in all great book if you're interested in the subject.

Beautiful
Revisado: 12-16-05
I just couldn't stop listening to this book. I have a long commute and I usually listen just in my car. This one I could not stop listening to. I listened at work and one night I just sat on my sofa listening for 2 hours while at home.
When I finished the book I was on my way home in the car. I began to cry at the end. Not because it was a sad ending but because it was so BEAUTIFUL. The story is just so beautiful.
10 stars!

Wow, REALLY REALLY Great book.
Revisado: 07-26-05
This is the first audiobook that I?ve listened to twice back to back.
I love the humor. It?s a dry, sarcastic, witty really intellectual humor that?s incredibly entertaining. The author?s insights into in to common everyday things will make you laugh out loud.
I?ve vowed to read (or at least listen to) all his books!

Not a thinker's book, but it is funny
Revisado: 06-14-05
This isn't a WAR AND PEACE or any other 'meaningful' read, BUT it did make me laugh now and then. I would make a slight comparison to the original "Bridget Jones" book. If you like that kind of humor, you'll enjoy this audiobook.

Historia
Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus, which launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon. Atlas Shrugged emerged as a premier moral apologia for capitalism, a defense that had an electrifying effect on millions of readers (and now listeners) who have never heard capitalism defended in other than technical terms.
