Historia
When professional—and self-taught—violinist Gwen Jackson plays, she disappears into the peaks and valleys of each song, a quiet passion that never quite explodes into pure emotion. Xander Thorne is the exact opposite. A cellist and a rock star, he’s all about big emotion, but not even his six-foot-four frame can contain his skill, his genius...and an attitude that borders on jerkitude.

What a pleasure to read a romance that is not the typical trope and formula. I’m not a music person at all but I really enjoyed the glimpse into this world.

Very cute story but…
Revisado: 03-27-25
I generally enjoyed this, and enjoy Ali Rosen’s books in general. But, it makes me crazy that authors trivialize that therapists cannot date previous clients. It’s not an ethical dilemma you can use as a plot device. So, enjoy this book, but remember that’s it truly an “unlikely story”.

But the sassy, small-town girl can’t help meddling in other people’s business. Historia
Gigi Graham has exactly three goals: qualify for the women's national hockey team, win Olympic gold, and step out of her famous father's shadow. So far, so good, except for two little things. Fine—a little thing and a big, grumpy thing. She needs to improve her game behind the net, and she needs help from Luke Ryder. Ryder is six-foot five, built, opinionated, rude . . . and sexy as hell. But he's still the enemy.

I usually avoid college romances, but this one was a pleasure. Well written, interesting with characters who were young but not immature. Looking forward to the next in the series

Historia
Snow is falling, holiday lights are twinkling, and Abby Cohen is pissed. For one thing, her most annoying customer, Seth, has been coming into her café every morning with his sunshiny attitude, determined to break down her carefully constructed emotional walls. And, as the only Jew on the tourism board of her Vermont town, Abby's been charged with planning their fledgling Hanukkah festival. Unfortunately, the local vendors don’t understand that the story of Hanukkah cannot be told with light-up plastic figures from the Nativity scene, even if the Three Wise Men wear yarmulkes.

Historia
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Hockey romance with depth
Revisado: 11-14-24
I’m a huge hockey fan- both the sport and hockey romance. So, I loved this book that actually was knowledgable about hockey and also had a real plot. Certain elements were stretched too far to be realistic, but overall it was a delight.

Enjoyable, engrossing story. I don’t watch cooking competitions, but I enjoyed this version of a competition and the relationships among the competitors and judges. The romance is a very secondary, though lovely, element.

It was supposed to be simple favor for my very important boss - go to his good friend Tex Jameson's luxury ranch and provide personal medical care for his recently injured teenage son. I thought it'd be a working vacation of sorts, but everything is upside down, and absolutely nothing is as I thought it would be. For one, this patient is not a teenage boy. He's a real-life, blue-eyed, tough-as-nails, 30-something cowboy who is so darn strong he looks like he could lift a car just for the heck of it.

Historia
If my time with Ryan Miller were a hit track on the radio, I imagine the lyrics would go something like this: We're so different, but they say opposites attract. Oops, I've fallen, and my heart doesn't want to come back. His dad lives right next to my mom, and after the two of them suffered an unexplained accident while taking down holiday decorations, both Ryan and I were forced to become the only 30something residents of Sunny Creek Village Independent Senior Living Community.

Painful

I’m sorry to write this, because I’ve enjoyed many Max Monroe books, but this one is juvenile and insulting to older adults. Even the narration wasn’t good. The male narrator should never do female voices.
