I didn't know much about Kyle prior to listening to this book, but I LOVED his delivery and the book's contents. Hit the spot perfectly, and I will be studying this one, listening a few times more (at least) to hammer it home. So much great content and really got me shifting, not just thinking.

Most of this material I have already probably heard/read, as I read a LOT of spiritual and self development material. Sometimes information through the filter of a particular person just seems to resonate differently, or the slightly shifted perspective of a concept seems line things up in such a way that you GET that great "A-HA!" even though the seed has been in your consciousness for quite some time. Could just be the right book on the right day. Hard to say, but I loved the book cover to cover. It's all meat, no filler, and humor thrown in for seasoning.

Some narrators, in my experience, really destroy great books. It's like they all went to the same damn Dale Carnegie School of narrating, and have been narrating books in that style since 1958. PLEASE SHOOT ME! How refreshing that many authors today are reading their own books with authenticity that just make you WANT to listen. Kyle does that, IMHO. It's like you're hanging out with this guy who's real, down to earth, and not only wants you to genuine understand what he has to share, but you feel like you're getting to know him, as well through his vocal expression and energy, instead of some hokey announcer who puts no heart into what he's reading. Cheers to Kyle. Great freakin' job, and many thanks.

Oh...and as others have said...PLEASE attach a PDF for the exercises!!!! How the HELL are we supposed to find them again without re-listening to the whole book? The point of audio is I can learn in my car/do mundane tasks and not spend the time holding a book. If I have to sit in front of my phone with a pencil for another 3+ hours how does THAT help? The exercises are valuable!! I had to buy a used version of the print book just to get them! WTH??? Rock on...

FANTASTIC!!!! Top notch narration!

Been a fan since his career took off, have always loved his voice and songwriting…and I could NOT put the book down! Probably not expected from a 53 year old male (me)! It was Richard’s narration of his stories that kept me so interested…he narrated better than 80 percent of the pros reading books on this site! Content itself was excellent, well written and super fun, too!!!

As a musician/singer/songwriter, all of the insights and experiences of writing were relatable and helpful. The stories of the famous folk he’s worked with and his family were very cool. A TOTAL class act and a PERSONABLE delivery made this one of my favorite audible reads. I didn’t want it to end!!! It was like listening to a close friend describe an amazing adventure.

I wish we weren’t left hanging wondering about the wellness issue!!! Please stay healthy, Richard! You’re in my prayers!

Victor is a gift to this world!

I have been close in his presence, but I have never personally met Victor Wooten. As far as I can tell, he is a world class HUMAN, gifted teacher, and brilliant PLAYER of music! His presence in the world is s as needed gift and the lessons in these books not only needed, but priceless! Strange-ass story...but as in the first book, you are transformed AND a better musician simply for reading it. Audio version rocks! Cheers to its success...and THANK YOU, Victor (and all involved) for all you are and do!

I have been following these teachings for years. At times, they saved my life by shifting my perception, reminding me of what I know, and guiding me towards True north over and over. I’m am grateful for the entire series! Thank you, Paul!

A TOTAL Surprise!

I stumbled on this book in a store, and picked it up out of curiosity, expecting the usual cocky attitude Gene often displays. Randomly opened to the chapter on Dave Grohl and couldn't stop reading! This book showed a side of Gene that was far more relatable than I ever expected! I'm not a fan of his larger than life ego...but in this book he seems far more down to earth and humble than I ever imagined. Oh, there's still an overdose of confidence, but he's far more palatable, and it was an interesting read for this 50 year old, who had been a huge KISS fan in the 70's. I liked it!

Cheers to Gene!

I read this one after stumbling on his book "On Power" in a books store. Both were quite a pleasant and VERY unexpected surprise from Gene. A KISS fan since '77, I never took much to Gene and his cocky, larger than life ego, though his stage character was always fun for me as a kid. This book, and the other book "On Power", show a different side of him...he's admittedly a changed man. As for the book itself, I found it interesting to listen to. Fan or not, one has to admit he's done very well for himself and his family in the success and business arena, so he does have valuable ideas to pass on. There are good nuggets of wisdom in here, though nothing earth shattering or new, at my age. It was more interesting to hear him discuss his humble beginnings, life, and relentless work ethic. My friend (NOT a Kiss fan, and particularly of Gene especially) also listened, and actually enjoyed listening to him speak humbly about his early life and transformation into the success that he has become. Being real and down to earth goes a long way in being relatable, and it changed her perception of him. This book was enjoyable to listen to, informative, and Gene does a very good job narrating. Cheers!

Material is outstanding and invaluable!!!! Presentation was perfect and really enjoyable! I listened with a friend and we both loved her humor and style. Brene is so down to earth and funny, but delivers powerfully material that we all need to incorporate, or at least consider deeply, into our lives, and in a meaningful way! God bless her!
