I truly enjoyed listening to this book and was captivated the entire time. I had read negative comments saying “there was too much sex (not sexy just gross)” or “the narrator was annoying” or “the ending wasn’t great”. But personally I didn’t think so. There really isn’t that much sex and it doesn’t start until about the middle. I thought both narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. Lastly, I thought the ending was great with all the twists and revelations. Give it a chance and don’t let the negative comments deter you.

Totally worth it

Every story was a classic King novella. Each just as creepy and unsettling as the last. I honestly there were more short stories. The narrator, John Glover, was absolutely amazing in my opinion. He reads all the stories himself and he is fantastic at doing different voices and reusing one in the next story.

It’s pretty good

I did enjoy the story. Although I have to agree with other people that the main character can be annoyingly clueless at times. The whole family dynamic is pretty bad and at times you just want to slap certain characters. The ending was good but I felt like there should’ve been more somehow or like some type of retribution. I love the narrator Lucy Price-Lewis. She is absolutely amazing with the voices and I could listen to her narrations all day!

A great read

This book was actually a great read. I was a little tentative at first because it had 3.5 stars. 8 people apparently rated it but didn’t give a review which I thought was weird. So I said screw it, used a credit and figured that if I didn’t like it I could return it. Well I ended up actually loving it. I finished it in 4 days and that’s only because of work. I know there are a lot of stories of a female protagonists who’s a nobody who wants to be with the rich man but I feel like there was a different twist or maybe aspect to this story. You think it’ll go one way until something happens then you may find yourself panicking for her and then it goes in the opposite direction. All in all I think you should totally give this book a chance.

Wow what a fantastic read. This is my first Agatha Christie novel and by God I’m ready for another one. The narrator was phenomenal and each character voice was distinct and perfect.

It's pretty good so far

Ok so in full honesty I'm writting this review with about 3hrs left in the book. I'm doing this because I was enjoying it up until the middle and then it started to get annoying for me. The characters seem to making annoying and almost obvious mistakes. (This is solely my opinion) I understand that I'm the 3rd person so i know stuff the characters don't but still, I just feel like if the main character is a detective then she'd make smarter decisions.

Mixing between fact and fiction this book absolute keeps you in suspense. It was a great read and I would definitely read it again.

This was a great classic and honestly brought me back to my childhood when i would watch the R.L. Stine Goosebumps marathon on Halloween on Cartoon Network and reading the books.

Spectacular!

Wow! Each story is absolutely brilliant and the acting is superb. Each story has remarkable writing and it keeps you hooked until the very end. I really hope they come out with a volume 2 very soon.

Amazing!

I absolutely loved this book. I love how they switch between the narrators to get different viewpoints of a situation. It's honestly kind of like Anonymous Girl by the authors who also wrote The Wife Between Us (sorry I dont remember their names and I STRONGLY recommend both those books as well). I couldn't stop listening to it and trying to guess what was happening. Just as a heads up this book does get a bit sexualized but nothing super major. I highly recommend this book and I'm sure you'll love it
