But when they arrive at Damian’s house, they discover that the Adlers have fled from a mysterious threat. Terrible Narrator
Revisado: 02-15-24
Ms King created an excellent addition to the Russell/Homes story. It is a pity that a subpar narrator ruined the audio version with bad accents, stilted language, and a a rushed approach. I do understand that the previous narrator,Ms Sterlin, died, but is this really the best they could do?
The new narrator makes Holmes sound like a stuffed shirt, Mary like a passive wimp, and Damian like a wanta-be American cowboy.
I await the next entry to this series, but will avoid the audio versions in the future.

Milagro Bean Fields it is Not
Revisado: 12-03-23
Weak story line. Stereotype characters, on all sides of the political spectrum. Vapid portrayal of Northern New Mexico.

If you love the book give this a pass
Revisado: 04-25-14
The terrible choice of narrator makes a wonderful book into torture. I could not stand it for more than ten minutes. She should at least learn to pronounce yucca and posole. I was pleased to see this series in audio form, but will be sticking to the written version.
