Not a fan of the added sound effects in the book. Otherwise I thought there was a great deal of intrigue and love and fun. The sound effects simply distracted me from the book and I found them unnecessary.

Very enjoyable. Thought the author did a good job balancing the dark with the light. A hero who some may describe as a villain, yet he finds a soft spot within himself for his woman. Look forward to listening to more books.

Great Listen!

I listened to this book on Audible and really loved it. The narrator was great and the content kept me wanting to listen. I did enjoy how the alien was very "alien" in that his junk was a bit different and he had more arms. The plot was fun and slightly different than other books I've read. There were some sections that were a bit faster than others, but I don't think it bothered me. I do think the sexy scenes could have been a bit longer and maybe a little more lead up until the first one. Overall, very happy and excited to read/listen to more!

I haven't been a fan of Gena Showalter, but when I heard of this new book and read the description, I knew I needed to dig in and see if she could finally pull me in. And she did. To my surprise, this is the first book of hers that had me squirming in delight. It reminded me a lot of Kresley Cole's IAD series, which might be why it pulled me in so easily.

The heroine is strong, cold, and a complete badass. This of course throws off our hero, but don't worry, he is more than up for the challenge of handling her. He needs to get her to the altar and sacrifice her while she has plans of her own. I don't want to give too much away because this was such a great book!

Thank you for the wonderful read! I can't wait for more in the series!

Keeps getting better!

Will they ever get one of these Atlan Warlords onto the show? Somehow I doubt they ever will... it'd be like putting a werewolf on the show. He's either going to not find his mate, or know which woman is his in a matter of minutes. But I like that they keep trying! Provides us with great entertainment. This book had me squealing and laughing when he finds his mate on live tv while she is doing a weather segment. It was perfect! This was a perfect alien romance. I hope there is a fourth lined up, because I'm ready for more!

Wrong place, wrong time... but it did get her a mate! Lucky woman! This was another page-turner by Grace Goodwin. Each book is just getting better! These are definitely going on my read-again shelf. Angela was a relatable character, and Braun was just to die for. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want an Atlan warlord or a Horde King from Zoey Draven. Decisions! I recommend reading both series and trying to pick a favorite. :)

Found another author I love!

I LOVED the whole new concept of this series. Instead of aliens kidnapping women, Grace has delivered us a new take... aliens coming to Earth to participate in a show just like the Bachelor. Perfect! Too bad it's not going to plan. I think his possession of her made me nearly squeal in delight. Not only did I gobble up this book, but I gobbled the next two right after. And now I'm catching up on my reviews. Can't wait for more, and I need to see if Grace has any other scifi romances for me. Yum!

Love, absolutely love, the way Luka and Alice meet! Love the impression of a scary monster alien who turns out to be a complete softy where his mate is concerned. Miscommunications lead to them not seeing eye to eye for a bit, but it's easily resolved. A villain tries to get in the way of their love, yet they persevere. (I'm already listening to the third and I think I'm going to love it.)

New Author/ New Series

So happy I chose to pick up this book on Audible! First, the narrator has a great voice, and he really draws you in. Theo and Jade were a perfect couple. They really complimented one another. I thought Theo held a lot of sex appeal without being too overbearing with Jade. Definitely a great first book. (I've already listened to the second and am currently on the third. Gobbling them up!)
