I believe this is a must read for every woman, whether in a leadership role in her job, her church, or trying to lead her family in the ways of the Lord. When I saw it was based on the book of Exodus, I was a bit concerned, only because I am not much of an OT scholar. But Sophie did a great job of dissecting and breaking down Exodus, helping me to see the nuggets of wisdom buried in the details of the story of Moses. Her sense of humor and southern drawl just adds to the beauty and enjoyment of the book.

Excellent story and narration

The Giver of Stars had a storyline filled with history, interesting characters, suspense, romance, humor. I found myself staying up late and getting up early just to continue listening. Julia Whelan’s narration made the characters come alive with different voices, dialects, tones. I will be reading more of Jojo’s books and looking for others narrated by Julia. Well done ladies!
